That was the first statement that made me double take. What a ridiculous thing to say "men are SUPPOSED to buy women drinks". That's hilarious. What are *women* SUPPOSED to do I wonder ?. Men are not obligated to hand out lunch passes and drinks vouchers to women - under any circumstances, not even if they were deserving, grateful and amicable about this type of activity - and let's be clear, this generation of women aren't these things. The only thing that this generation of women have is *expectation*. Indignant expectation at that.

Western women in general are taking male kindness for granted. A man can be respectful, faithful, emotionally and financially supportive and a western woman would be offended at the idea that she should be grateful towards the man "just for not being an A-hole." Which is actually something I have heard western women say. If you ever get a partner that shows you those traits who should be grateful for how well they treat you.

One night during college I went to the bar with some friends. While we were standing around chatting, a girl nearby started making intense eye contact with me. I thought about offering to buy her a drink but was pretty shy with ladies during college so I just looked away and ignored her. Something felt off about it - a woman had never looked at me like this. Around 5 minutes later, I saw a guy bringing a drink to the girl and I thought I missed my shot. Then I noticed he had 3 or 4 other drinks that he began handing out to all of her friends. Turns out she was just manipulating men into buying drinks for all of them. I laughed and called it out to my buddies. One of her friends overheard me telling them this and started yelling at me. Bullet dodged. I have only bought a drink for one woman in my entire life and she was the one I ended up marrying.

First, they have to learn to control themselves when they have an argument and the prospect that this can lead to a physical altercation should be a good incentive to learn to control themselves. Second, if the police is called and the first thing they see is a man fighting with two women they’ll assume you are the aggressor and you’ll have to prove your innocence and don’t expect those women to tell the truth because their truth will be whatever can avoid any consequences for them.

@@SchemingGoldbergI already have and I have done extensive research on this passage. It does not say what you think it does. Likewise, men are not to be angry or divisive. Women, like men, are to learn with self-control. Now, have you actually read the interlinear version? The Greek is not a prohibition for all time, but is rendered "I am not permitting", which is a temporary injunction of one couple. It is also singular. Not all women. Nor does it mention legitimate authority, which would be the term exousia. You cannot find a prohibition against women with legitimate authority. I encourage you to read the first 2 chapters together so that you have context. What Paul was countering was godless myths, fertility cult practices that promoted the idea that women were created first. This is why it ends with childbearing for the singular woman in 1 Timothy 2. Women's salvation does not depend on childbearing as some claim to try to force the passage into a prohibition statement. No, it is an exhortation for the couple to continue in faith. Paul was clearly addressing a couple where the woman was in fear of not following the cult rituals around fertility and childbearing, and she was inappropriately drawing her husband into these practices that are against Christianity, thus the term authentein. Simple as that. I recognize you will immediately reject this because it doesn't fit what you have been taught, so I encourage you to study the Greek and pray about it.

And no matter where I am or how tough the dude looks, they always say "thank you". Half the women don't. Bizarre.

Nah, you're all so very strong, independent, and empowered, you got this, grrls. That said, that individual at 5:52, is what I normally describe as a man waiting for his first divorce to happen.

There is no way in hell i'm going near a woman in a gym that is filming no matter how much help you need.

A truly strong and independent person doesn't go around beating their chest insisting they be regarded as such..

The only people I open the door for is the elderly. They still appreciate it when someone tries to help them out. For anyone else, it's not worth getting yelled at for being nice.

Try to close the door in their faces. After I did let the elderly man packed with groceries through, I just did let the door go. I learned new curses that day. So you get yelled at, even if you close the door.
