When I was in my 40s and 50s and at the bar 5 out of 7 noghts - I would hear women complaining about men and the local dating pool. When they asked me what was wrong, I would share my honest opinion and they were always shocked. Most would call me names and ignore me after that and I enjoyed my quiet cold beer. But there was one young woman that kept teying to change my mind and it was so funny. Most of the time when a man is in a relationship with a woman like these, it’s like he’s a second and a third job but no 2nd and 3rd paycheck, you can see it in his eyes, he always looks tired. When the relationship ends it’s like he’s free now, he can work on himself, he can do a ton of stuff that the previous girlfriend was stopped him. This would be my answer, and y’all feel free to agree or disagree, but if I am married and working then my paycheck goes towards the children, so school supplies, clothing, hobbies, extracurriculars, etc., groceries and household maintenance, and then put the rest towards savings and rainy day funds. If for some reason my husband’s paycheck isn’t enough to fit all the bills, I would expect my paycheck to supplement the remainder. This is by no means an all-encompassing list, it’s just what I thought of off the top of my head
