I don't hate what the first lady said. For a woman with pink and blue hair, she actually sounds quite reasonable lol. And she's actually describing a really accurate picture of middle class marriage at her age in America. I have seen this soo many times with friends parents but never thought that that's what the woman might be (wrongly) thinking. She definitely wildly underestimates the woman's value in leaving the relationship, and the reason the guy appears lifeless is probably because he hasn't gotten laid in years and doesn't want to cheat. Mid-life crisis's are guys re-discovering their hobbies. Guys will always have more hobbies but her point of guys losing hobbies, and friends, and becoming depressive can definitely be true. So accurate problem but wrong cause and solution in my opinion

This older lady is basing her experiences on a small number of men going through the initial period after retirement. Most men work out what they want their retirement to be and then get on with it. Quite often based on their interests: cars, motorcycles, travelling, clubs etc. This rarely involves collecting old women. In fact I would bet most of the chasing is done by the older women who do not have money to live comfortably and want another partner. The men are happy to pursue interests now that family life had constrained.

The firts woman made many good points but she is mistaken about the reasons: men are competing against all other men all their active life. They have to keep their emotions for themselves, they work harder than women, they are more invested and committed in their work and that's why when they retire, they are exhausted and want to finally rest. I'm a truck driver and most of us who are at work all week long and at home only for weekends get divorced once they retired mostly because the woman is used to be alone all week, has organized her life around this fact and can't stand to have their husband around them all week perturbing their daily life. The other difference is the biological clock: women are in a hurry to have kids and a familly, men don't and they start thinking more about their familly around 40/45yo. All they want is to enjoy their familly and it's the opposite for women: they have been committed to their familly all their life and once the kids have finally left home, they have plenty of stamina to make other things than to enjoy their familly. What is estonish me is she don't know that once she will no longer have this stamina, she will spend her last years alone which is absolutely not something anyone wants once it happens to themas well for men than women. I know her fate: spending her last years in an assisted living facility for elderly people stuck in a bed with no one to visit her and with only TV shows as hobbies.

@@TalkThatThought Yes, I'm more Jordan Peterson than Kevin Samuels because I know westerner women never submitted to their husband and it was even the opposite for many reasons. 1/ men propose and women dispose meaning men are submitted to reach women's standart to get their favor and not the opposite 2/ there is no reason to hit a woman meaning men can't use their own specificity, the physical strengh when women can use 100% of their specificity, the psychological and the physical violence and so men can't win in a confrontation with a woman because of their lake of rationality. 3/ I know that men used to be victims of domestic violence in more than 90% of all cases before the destruction of weddings. 4/ we can see that women are behaving like tyrants now that they have their words to say in public debate. I don't agree with Kevin Samuels on 2 points: 1/ Women don't have to submit to her husband but only to play her role and to do her part in the familly. Men and women are not equals but complementary and each gender is superior to the other in its own area of expertise. I really think asking women to submit is not the best way to make them come to reason at all. 2/ if men built the "god damn world", they built it for women and the future of their children, for their comfort and their safety. Absolutely not to rule on it as suprem leaders and to make women submit to them. I don't know if you're a christian but "the god damn world" is the garden of Eden and women demanding the right to vote is Eve eating the apple. We committed the primary sin but it's my opinion.
