Yes it does. It has several ways to zero and/or offset your measurements so you can customize what you need to do.

Yes, what i need is when i get to a certain angle (that is non zero - say 2.3 degrees off flat) i need to set that angle as being artificial zero and use that as the reference 0 angle. Sounds like it can do that. Excellent. The other question i have... is it possible to turn the lasers on for an extended period of time (ie greater than 30 seconds). It doesn't have to actually be measuring but just lasers on so i can use the beams as a marker. It would be frustrating to have to always be running back to the unit to turn the lasers back on.

I can't say how long the beam stays on since I have never tried that. There may be a way in the settings somewhere. It has a LOT of settings so I'm sure it can be done.
