Ya it's a tax write off but the only problem is you have to have the cash to buy it first, now with that said the write off is based on value, so if parts are sponsored that's even better that's where u do good because parts cost you nothing, u ever here win this car and recieve 10k in cash, they give u cash to pay taxes because the value they asked on it is so high for there write off nobody that wins could afford taxes, he will probably list the total package value at 150k, works out good for them and the winners hats off, HIS TAX GUY CALLED AND SAID MORE WRITE OFFS MORE WRITE OFFS LOL

@leepullon1147 I originally built it with a k20a6 fwd using a gt3076 @10psi and it was somewhere in the region 250-300 hp. Then I did the AWD conversion but I only drove it once and then decided to take it off the road for some upgrades. I swapped the turbo to a gt3582, upgraded the radiator and intercooler setup. New engine management and a k24 with ep3 cylinder head. I'm very close to firing it up again and I will most likely aim for around 400hp

I was not aware of the amount of work this conversion takes, and the fuel tank was a surprise to me as well. Someone can design a fuel cell that wraps around the diff in the factory location and make crazy money!

I put alot of the ease of conversion down to technology tbh, over the last 20 years, its become alot common for example to have the ability to tig weld, technology has advanced to a point where learning to tig weld isnt inpractical or expensive and a very useful skill, same was laser/plasma cutting, sure its been around for years, but that was specialist work, look at your weightplate you took that to school to get cut, could you imagine your tutors tutors sheet metal cutter? Then add the fact we can put almost anything into a cnc and get it to do what we want, tubes, sheets, milling, everything, and this too is becoming less of extremely rare sight, thats not to take anything from anyone that works on or with these tools and the immense amount of coding to do it, but for some, like S1 built its a perfect marry, lots of 'high' tech equipment doing the what would be hand precision engineered parts, thats also not to take away from those that research and develop kits that can be cut and built in this way, as thats its own challenge to, its a beautiful thing, too see what we percieved as 'high end race team' equipment slowly creeping into everyones work shops

hey kyle youve built some interesting stuff. please put awd on the backside of a CRZ trans, and then a K24 turbo on the front size. then tune the IMS aggressively as basically antilag! I think circa around 2012, and they ran, IIRC about 10.7 or 10.8 on street tires with like a high 600 ish power number. Something like that. About your random thought of how awd is common now, etc. back in 2012 my friend had an eg hatch gutted with an h22 euro R engine bolted to a b16 em1 trans. It made like 209whp and it was basically the fastest Honda coming to car meets in the dmv area. Now it doesn’t even shake a stick at performance cars 🤣

Its not a random thought about the awd. Im an oldschool guy and remember when burgenholts first got into the 9's. Which was crazy then. And even crazier that papadakis had to run tubeframe to even get into the 8's. Now you got full interior 4door civics running 9's and full frame civics with 8.5 cert cages runnning 8's. Im just surprised how the sport has grown
