Comparisons aren’t useless. Most of us don’t have all the hair products out there so the only way to get a good idea of how products we want to buy will work with our hair is to know how it they are different or similar to products we already have.
@MMTV5 жыл бұрын
Comparing a product to a product you already have is useless because 1- they aren’t the same product, and 2- when your comparing something to something else, especially something you already have, your not providing a full an accurate picture of what that product does as an individual product. Your only discussing what it does compared to something else. Take these clays- you already have cavalier and compare it to the forte clay and you would say it’s drier, but similar hold strength, then you buy it and realize the end result and lasting result is not the same. It gets especially useless when you see these guys in reddit who argue that anything is comparable and end up asking how goon grease compares to original. Comparing stuff is pointless if you want to know how it works for you, watch the review I always discuss hair types.
@orlandovflores5 жыл бұрын
@@MMTV There are plenty of comparable attributes. You covered a lot of them. I think when it comes to a product, especially home brews, a clay or paste can mean a lot of different things. The line between each type or product is sometimes blurred. Particularly when it comes to consistency, texture, scent, and hold. A comparison of ingredients alone says a lot about how a product might perform. IMHO having that comparison in one video was helpful and you did a good job doing it. Nevermore, Monarch, 18.21 Paste are all different pastes that perform differently. I could watch three different videos on each one of them but not every review goes into the same detail.

Hands down best hair product Ive used. Works great on thick wavy hair. Very little needed and the hold is insane. Id recommed using a prestyler then blow drying hair before using clay

@@MMTV I def used too much first application. Agree, what works for one might not work for another. I use a pre just basically for heat protection from the blow dryer and to help get my hair going direction I want. This product def for thick hair.

@@Oceansize1998 Which pre styler do you use in combination with Forte for volume?
@Oceansize19984 жыл бұрын
@@Jin6161 I ALWAYS use argon oil after shower this is the ultimate protectant. Pat dry hair, then use minimal argon oil. After that most of products I found are of no help. Hair dryer is best friend for volume. Use a vented brush to straighten and lift for volume. I have wavy and thick hair but this works for me. The clay is mostly a finisher for me. It holds AMAZING with no shine. Love it.

However, I did watch another video of yours and am thinking that I might get better hold/control if I use other products before styling like oils? Is this correct?

Hey there! Styling oils won’t help with hold as they don’t provide it, they are more for health and nourishment and things like that.
