His speech comes on the heels of a fiery critique from Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, who on Monday launched a scathing attack on the Modi government’s 'Make in India' initiative. Gandhi argued that the program had failed to revive India's manufacturing sector, citing a stark decline in the sector's contribution to GDP-from 15.3% in 2014 to a mere 12.6%, the lowest in six decades.
In addition to his critique of economic policies, Gandhi also called for a national caste census, proposing that leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze the data could revolutionize policymaking and offer new insights for social and economic reform.
