On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take the floor to respond to the Motion of Thanks on the President's Address, marking the fourth day of Parliament's Budget session. His speech comes on the heels of a fiery critique from Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, who on Monday launched a scathing attack on the Modi government’s 'Make in India' initiative. Gandhi argued that the program had failed to revive India's manufacturing sector, citing a stark decline in the sector's contribution to GDP-from 15.3% in 2014 to a mere 12.6%, the lowest in six decades.
In addition to his critique of economic policies, Gandhi also called for a national caste census, proposing that leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze the data could revolutionize policymaking and offer new insights for social and economic reform.
