I eluded the city police in my town 1 time. I was a bit loose, drifted a wide intersection after midnight on my way home. Cop coming from the other direction saw me. I got around a corner, turned onto a side street side street, turned into an alley. I pulled into a parking space behind a house and killed the lights and engine. Right then, the officer went flying past the front of the house while i was parked in the back. I sat there for several minutes getting calmed down. I took an alternate route home that night. My one and only attempt at running from the police was a success. A lucky success.

Here in the Houston, Texas area the city passed a law that no pursuits for traffic violations are to made. If they deem that a pursuits is needed it has to come from a supervisor. The reason for that is too many lives are being put at risk. In the video you see the police cars speeding through red lights. There have been too many people killed.
@king_Charles501 Жыл бұрын
We had talked about that once upon a time here in Arkansas but I think they just ended up upgrading the pursuit cars and built a track for the police to practice on. They have a hellcat and a scat pack state trooper chargers.

In order to peruse a car it has to be approved by a Houston Police Department Supervisor. Right now the HPD department is not writing many tickets. There over 120,000 cases back logged in the courts. Here in Texas you supposed to have a front license plate and rear license plate. I would say about 15% of the cars here in Houston don't have a front plate. I drove 2 miles down one busy street and counted 22 vehicles without front license plates.@@jpman9795

We've gone from "don't run from cops it's dumb" to "you shouldn't really do this" 😂 I still say that normal cruisers shouldn't even bother when they see just how quick a car is and the departments just need proper interceptors like the old crown vic days. Just imagine a proper, 550-600whp NA Challenger Interceptor. No it wouldn't be able to catch the 800-1k crowd but the above average and average hot boy, takeover car would get caught EASY. Remember, the old interceptors used to take down anything in their era and we are just witnessing the difference in equipment now. The police basically have butter knives in a gun fight against cars today.
@stephenwest798 Жыл бұрын
No, the old interceptors didn't take down everything in their day, but they sure tried, outran them many times as did many of my friends, but out on the open highway not in city traffic, that is pushing it and risking innocent lives. The one thing that I noticed in this video is this pursuit was ridiculous. Look at the danger they put the public in to make an attempt to catch this person. The speeds the car was going at and the speeds the police were going at were ridiculous, and if they would have caught the person what would have happened to him he would have got charged with eluding a police officer and speeding I doubt he'd even spent the night in jail or lost his driver's license so to put the public in this much danger for almost no reason is ridiculous. Take a picture of the car try to identify the driver and catch them at The grocery store or something but these high speed pursuits are deadly and they need to stop. Now if you've got a kidnapping or a violent attack I say pursue them but for this it's ridiculous.

I watch this video a few times now, and I never noticed until this one that I believe the cop announces that he turned down Jefferson and there is a marked cop sitting on the side of the road getting out of his vehicle. Don’t know if he may have been trying to spike or just happen to be in the area.

Good for this guy. I love it. We need a new bandit in this day and age

Obviously he CAN drive if the pursuit officers lost sight of him 😂

One time I was in my dads early 2000’s Silverado 2500HD extended bed with my girlfriend coming home. Cats cut off loud af. And it’s red not to mention. Mustang cop just passed me going the opposite and put on his lights on. I was probably going 60 in a 35. He tops the hill and turns around immediately.. I look to my left and see a neighborhood entrance and drifted it through the turn and blasted it all the way to the back of neighborhood and hid in someone’s driveway. 😂 After awhile I came out of hiding, coming back out of the neighborhood I literally saw the ass end of his mustang go back over the hill in the direction he was originally going.

I left two Troopers on I-95 coming back to Philly from Florida. The difference was I was doing 77 in 70 and they both acted like clowns sticking to my bumper and side panel. They both had chargers but they were trash and had nothing on my Redeye. At 190 I believe they terminated the pursuit. Ahhh the good old days.

My only complaint with my r/t m6. You can't rev it any higher and make power. If one could rev it to 6500 or so and keep making power that engine would be perfect.

Cam it. Help it cool better. More oil. It will. Just gotta do the right stuff.

@DJGRoc hellcat pump and lifters bolt right on. Get those and the right cam and tune with a slightly more free exhaust and it's basically a scat at that point. 5.7 has so much potential but is just overshadowed by people wanting a bigger number.

@@caleguenther8947 You don't have to tell me. I too have a 6-speed R/T, that's been heavily modified. 💪🏼

@DJGRoc hell yeah. More for the guy above and to roll conversation. It's more fun to hide than it is to flaunt. No one suspects a 5.7 but that's what we believe blackout is lol.
