It’s easy to find tutorials on how to do most cuts, but they’re made for groomers who already know the basics. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!! Any tips on difficult dogs? I have a senior cockapoo who can't stand for long and hates hit feet touched by ANYTHING and I have a hard time getting the hair between his toes

Senior dogs can be challenging. I let the dog sit for most of the groom and also use a belly band that hooks up to the grooming arm to help them stand. I just do the best I can and do a comfort groom by shaving short. Some senior dogs won't let you touch certain areas and you may need help to hold the dog. If the dog does not tolerate clippers on the feet, try scissors. There is a time when senior dogs can no longer be groomed safely and the vet may prescribe something to relax the dog. Sometimes medication can be dangerous for senior dogs so it may be best to groom under veterinary supervision.

Hi, I usually stop at the rear of the shoulders however if I do a shorter clip I may stop in front of the shoulders. It depends on the clip

Hi, this is the shampoo that I use amzn.to/2tKczIB I have used various conditioners but have started using this one and it's amazing, I love it so much amzn.to/3ayVTEt for the shears I use various kenchii, geib and Chris Christensen shears. These are my favorite amzn.to/30KzjEs they come in other sizes. These are what I use for the topknot amzn.to/38wSUe1 These are really nice. I have the purple color but blue is nice amzn.to/2vheULP For prepping I usually put them right into the tub and wash and dry and then do all the clipping, if they are overgrown I may clip their coat first depending on how long I will keep their coat to cut back on drying time. I was also. But start with some freebies for neighborhood dogs to practice on. Its not rocket science. Make some notes and just do it.

Don’t be they get clipped in shops then scissored ears and rounded topknot. Buy a Afro wig or model to practice. Practice face and feet then rest comes with it. Their a great dog for styles even longer faces
