My Morkie has the same hair and coloring. The groomer shaves her :-( because she says she is too matted. I love her long hair and bell bottom legs. I think I will start brushing her nightly while the hair is super short; just to get her use to it. Do you have any suggestions on the matting issue?

I do the very same thing when bathing my dog. It's a nasty job alone to get his butt clean and I didn't want to pick it out with my fingers. I use a my grooming rake and it does the job along with some shampoo. I just wish the shampoo was able to mask the stink from raking the crud out.

Just got another Shih tzu poodle, I call them Shih Tzoodles, she’s 10weeks and needs to be groomed (I just got her a couple days ago) at what age do they start going to the groomers? Also is there a way you can tell me where you are, I would trust you! What’s the name of your shop?🩷🩷🩷

Thank you!! I have a Bernese mountain dog and I have been totally unable to get her coat fluffy and voluminous. Now I’ve seen your technique I will definitely give it a try. She’s a big dog to groom, so it’s always a disappointment when she doesn’t end up looking her best. I think this technique will really work.

Thank you so much. My husband and I are retired and in a couple of months we will be traveling on our boat to some areas that will make it hard to find or trust a groomer. I’ve always had my two toy poodles professionally because the shears scare me but because of travel I have to learn to at least maintain them and your video is one of the best I’ve seen ❤ my poodles thank you too

Excellent idea to place figure over lips while trimming this area. Some dogs like to keep sticking their tongue out while their face is being trimmed. I used to try to hold the mouth shut,but if they're very determined they manage it anyway!😅

I'm just going to say it they knew damn well that dog was matted morkie must be brushed at least twice a week their hair is so soft and fluffy I'm sad that she is going back to that owner you can clearly see they not the best dog owners 😢

My dog is 11 years old and the leg hair gets much more clumped than this dog and even bathing combing with detangler doesnt stop the trimmer getting jammed - I wish it was as easy as in your video but the little dog has a perfectly untangled coat. Wearing a warm coat all winter seems to cause undercoat to mat up.

Wow!! A lot of dog owners need to take notes. This is how your puppy should be behaving for your groomer! You need to do your part at home with training and desensitizing. Your groomer is there to simply perform a service-not go to war to perform said service. This dog was an absolute angel!!! Behaved better for her first groom than most dogs ive seen on their 30th groom

He seems to have quite a bit of Dandie Dinmont Terrier in him. He´s gorgeous and so well behaved.
