MODIFIED FMS TOYOTA FJ40- Super Scale Crawler

Welcome to my Channel all and a brand new #rochobby #rockcrawler RC Crawler. The #fms #toyota #fj40 such a scale looking truck and a very decent performer too. I’ve removed the 1040 ESC and replaced it with a #hobbywing #1080esc. Which makes a massive improvement over the stock ESC.
I’ve also added a few #scalemodel additions and aged the body by airbrushing.

Love the KO2s and the American racing rims. Only wheel tires that belong on an old Toyota. Actually have them on my real 1998 4runner lol. I Love them.

Nice weathered FMS Landcruiser in a fantastic location and beautiful video too!👍But you should reconsider the shackles on the rear buffers. In real life, the buffer would tear off or at least be serverly bent.

Thanks buddy much appreciated! I’ve put the shackles on because I really dislike the look of the bear bumpers, it’s never going to be completely scale accurate 👌

Awesome truck bro, I'm definitely going to get one, FMS is killing it. Especially love there price point, who cares if there not perfect, ive heard so many reviews knit picking the truck, but at least it's only 350 bucks that leaves allot of money left to make modifications and upgrades, your truck is awesome 🙏✝️☮️🏜️

What did you use to imitate the rust? Also, what was your method on fading the paint? My FJ40 will be here today and I am wanting to do weathering but not looking to tear it all apart.

Sand it with 1200 wet paper and use AK Rust streaking product man

Beautiful rig. My only hangup with it is it's on links and coilovers. No FJ40 was produced on links. They were all leaf sprung. Even my RC4WD Cruiser is on links. RC4WD, of all manufacturers, designed it NOT to scale.
