Like many Infiniti/Nissan models, the 1st & 2nd generation FXs were way ahead of their time. We see echoes of their styling queues in many present-day luxury sport utes.

The FX50S is an ABSOLUTE BEAST!!! That 5.0 was seemless and smooth. Needless to say -- with the way things had been going -- they were the last of a dying breed for the USDM. Other markets were much more appreciative of Infiniti's unique combinations of design, refinement, power and character.

Love the Fx50…the body is timeless. Owner of a 2k10…black. It always put a smile on my face. I love the black and chrome….not a big fan of all black. I put 1inch spacer on all four corners and it sits sharp and flush. The stance change completely. I have never yet see a 50 in my town or other city or highway. It’s a rare jewel!

Fx50s is a wonderful ride. Had a 2004fx45. Best suv you can have hands down. Power, lux, comfort, stealth.

Chrome delete modernizes the FX50. Look at the Stelvio QV or GLC63 there is very little chrome. Crazy to think Infiniti dropped the v8 expecially when the crossover market was taking off, but that's Infiniti for you.

I don't think it does modernise it - the stock wheels age it, so I think if the stock had some black diamond cut rims it would help pull the chrome look down a bit. I am no fan of chrome, but without it I think the car loses some of the definition and shape that makes it stand out, which is why I've kept mine for now with my 22"s

Man wish I'd have known! I'm in Indy with a black FX50S... could have had triplets lol. My GT-R wheels are still on my FX45 but they are a great look on the 2nd gen as well!

On the modded one was the side vent painted or wrapped? If wrapped how many pieces? Did you remove the side vent or able to do it on the vehicle? thanks

The side vents were removed and painted. The silver ribbed insert looking piece comes off the fender vent so there are 2 separate pieces when its removed and taken apart. You have to pop the wheel well liner out and there are just a few clips that hold the vent in. The insert is screwed to the vent with 3 screws.

Infinity….if you are listening, who ever came up with the idea to rename the Fx or the G…should be fire!!! You made infinity more confusing with all this Q crap. There should only be one Q….and it’s Q45. Infinity was at the peak of its time, until ya decide to rename the model?? Ya should all be fire!!!
