Love your videos Ed, very informative for Infiniti/Nissan fans! I've owned a couple Maximas and an Infiniti I35 and now drive a 2016 Q70L 5.6 AWD! I'm truly enjoying this big Infiniti V8!!

Thank you. When I started out in college, I thought I would be designing cars, but I am glad I came across this profession. Problem solving is my thing.

Despite all the stereotypes/jokes engineers get for their communication skills, you've got to be on top of your game for this one. To be successful, you need to be able to communicate clearly across the organization - from the guy turning the wrenches, all the way the big wigs at corporate. I am lucky that I do both with relative ease. One day, I should talk about my career as one of those one-off video topics. Thanks for noticing.

Love your videos even though i own G but your videos help me gain knowledge and perspective on the brand. What kind of oil do you prefer on your high mileage cars and how often do you change the oil????
@EdBwoy2 жыл бұрын
I appreciate your support Sir. For me, regardless of mileage, I avoid "high mileage" like. I usually go for synthetic 5w-30 and just buy the oil from Walmart or AutoZone if they have a sale. I don't have any particular brand loyalty, but I have found that I really like Pennzoil. My OCIs are typically around 5,000 miles but I have done them more frequently depending on my impending schedule, and also done them at close to 8,000 miles. One thing I always do, is check the dipstick at least once a week.

Yes indeed! Thank you for the support, I am fascinated by understanding how things work. I do my best to catch myself and not get too deep in the weeds, but it comes naturally to be detail-oriented.

I wanted to buy a German car, so I joined the forum. It's not so much the number of failures people were reporting that surprised me, but the type of failures would be unforgivable in an Infiniti. And this is a forum for relatively new models.
@liblib892 жыл бұрын
@@EdBwoy Yeah i’m not surprised. And folks still talk crap on Infiniti. Their cars are largely reliable and this can be verified by various sources. I respect the post you made one time on nico with regards to Infiniti reliability being on par with Lexus…I’d agree

Have you replaced the starter, radiator or power steering rack? I've already replaced those at 80K miles. Also, replaced the gas tank sensor and hood latch cable. I've been disappointed at my 2012 FX50S because I wasn't anticipating to have those issues.

Hello! What would you chose between fx50 or fx37? ,I have the diesel v6 ,and I want to buy a gasoline one

It depends on the purpose of the switch. Better fuel economy, better power, etc. Maybe even for towing, I would want the diesel. What do you not like about your diesel?

Is there a big difference in performance between M & Fx.
@EdBwoy2 жыл бұрын
The big difference is in the refinement. The FX is sporty, but the M is luxurious with heaps of torque at the touch of the pedal. That's is FX50 versus M56
@zeregarcdragracing172 жыл бұрын
@@EdBwoy I would picked the M56 if I didn't want a SUV at but I don't regret buying my Fx50S. But mine doesn't have the DVD and lane departure or the collision. Has everything else.

@@EdBwoy after briefly owning an m56x and driving an fx50 I must say that yes the m has more power but the transmission in the FX works better when it comes to shifting. 7 speed in the m is a big mess
