As nearly an ID:3 owner myself, there's not enough ID:3 content on this channel :-)

I put Eibach springs and AC Schnitzer spacers on my BMW i3 and very pleased with the result. Subtle improvement to the stance, no loss of ride comfort (not that it had too much of it in the first place) but notable handling and stability improvements. Another 50bhp wouldn’t go amiss though.
@buzzofftoxicblog7912 жыл бұрын
Agree with you but why stop at 50hp extra? Chassis is strong awd! there's even room in the back for a second motor! Trimotor i3M 600hp! One day may pimp one 😀 or a R Simms project ?

I find the ride on our ID.3 extremely comfortable. Handles all potholes and bumps tremendously well! I think VW have done an excellent job on the standard suspension setup. I like the front splitter but I’ve seen nicer alloys on the car. Not to say that these look bad though. Just for reference I have the exact same model as in question here in the video.

VW id3 Pro with 204 ps. My wife’s Kia E-Niro has 204 ps…… some nice styling mods to be sure, but just like the long awaited Cupra El born EV so called hot hatch, doesn’t appear very ‘hot?’
@RB-lt8kt2 жыл бұрын
Perhaps some colour added like the Seat Born (when it gets released in the UK ?) to the body work / high light some details. Colour on the badges or different badges? Wrapping a car a different colour? Front bumper mods / add on's colour coded to be more aggressive looking? Front LED small accent lights / mini fog lights? EV's need to look more sporty and not too futuristic or plain mass produced boxes like Tesla's or Kia's. Really looking forward to SEAT Born release as it will make others think about hot EV hatches instead of constant SUV or box shapes. Basic fun hot hatch with less Tech and driver focused so not a 12 to 15 year old kids car with every bit of Tech makers think we need.

I would like to see some weight reduction like lighter battery pack maybe when QuantumScape start producing solid state batteries and increase the power of the motors to 450hp, and I like the alcantara interior mod looks better than cheap shiny black plastic! VW quality really has gone down hill in recently.

If you’re looking at getting an ID.3, be prepared for a long wait. Dealers are quoting up to 12m now 😱. Mine has been delayed by nearly 3 months already! In terms of mods, performance mods has to be the next step, surely? I’d love if the ID.3 could deliver that 204ps just a bit faster.

The id3/Cupra Born is such a disappointment to me. They are too slow because 500kg heavier than the i3s. Probably the worst infotainment system tech on the market, no one peddle driving and no flat loading area. Such a shame.
@brownpartnership112 жыл бұрын
Agreed, they are a total disappointment! I was hoping that perhaps the Born would pack a bit more punch than the ID3, but there isn't much between them even with the limited acceleration boost thing! Come on VW get your act together, surely 250-300PS is possible to make these cars a tad more interesting?! That infotainment system is completely rubbish too! Go back to the drawing board and develop some half decent software and a better screen and controls please, you are years behind!

@@scottwills4698 Not sure I like having to slide fingers over the virtual controls below the screen and on the steering wheel, and why have they fitted a larger screen in the Cupra and not the ID3?! If only they had produced something as good as the Ioniq 5 in a Golf type package! I don't mind the design, although the Cupra looks better, shame the tech isn't quite as good as other offering of similar money. £40K is a lot of dosh for a car that doesn't give as much 😕

When will we get something similar for the UK version Tesla Y? About the only thing reviewers complain about, is the hard ride on the 20" wheels (has nobody tested it on the 19"" wheels?) What is required is a set of softer springs/anti-rollbar - who will be first to market?

Great video as usual.. Caveat here in North America, we do not get the ID 3 And that ID 4 is mostly relegated to being a substandard car with many too many in fact issues that should have been sorted out long before they sent that thing over here. The ID 4 as reviewed in North America is lackluster and has way too many software issues The Biggest of which is that the VW group put in a charging infrastructure over here and the ID 4 cannot even find their own charging network. I would not buy one mainly because they had their chance but decided that killing people was more to their liking with their Diesel vehicles. I have lost a lung to Cancer and I suspect that the DIESEL VW is to blame. SO no thanks VW...

Poorly engineered. No it isn't. Just because you've seen Sandy Munro say it could have been worked better under the skin doesn't make it poorly engineered. I've driven the Pro version. It's a great car. Sure some drawbacks but it's still a good car. The fact my neighbour's has a drivers display and AR HUD is also great.

It stays with a Tesla Model 3 SR+ to 70km/hr what more do you want for a family hatchback? GTX coming out next year that will be quicker, but it’s quick enough to easily stay with traffic.
@evboy42872 жыл бұрын
"Poor engineered": not exactly, it's too expensive (or over-engineered) to cater for the poor. Yet the large interior space compared to relatively small exterior seems to be unmatched.
