I have had my first Carson forklift for 14 hours and already modified for the battery upgrade as seen in this video. I Really appreciate you make this one! Two other things I have done is swap the forward drive with the fork lift channels, this way drive and turn are on the right stick and the fork/mast is controlled by the left stick. The other item is the tires have a crown which makes for a very small contact patch with the floor. I found by taking a Dremel and slowly removing the high point it has less understeer. Cheers.

Great video! Had me on pins and needles from 9 mins. on : / Love those connectors! So glad everything worked out. I was feeling very sad for you, but i knew you would get it figured out 1 way or another. No reason you could not abandon all the stock electronics. Thank goodness you did not have to! Victory!!!

I bought a Carson Forklift because of you. Thanks Sir.

It does look like there is enough room in that little forklift to put a separate: receiver, ESC and servo into it if something did happen to the board. Which is good to know. Now all it needs is metal gears a trick aluminum mast and maybe a big winch servo to run the forks up and down. Clearly the three dislikes are from people who leave things stock.

Good one. Ohh, liked your enthusiasm and joy when finding out the steering works. Gonna be great with the constant power. You can actually get seperate 5-wire servos but yes, not sure if they are gonna be any better, and sometimes they are not standard size. Could be cool if Loading Wars lifted these forklifts’ popularity and Carson found out and did a full hobby-grade 2.0 Version 🙂

Excellent, very good update, it gains in power what is missing with only 5 batteries of 1.5v. The weight on the steering is good but to change the servo it will not be easy, and if the wheels turned much more it would facilitate the loading. Excellent video and great explanations !!

I have always wanted to modify old (or even new) cheaply made RC's. This video is great! I love things like this. You should do more videos like these. Like buy some cheap, shitty RC from walmart and install some real gear into it and see if it can do some bashing, compare it to a decent RC and maybe break down the cost per ROI on each. and if it crashes (as long as the parts you installed are ok) you would only be out

I did a similar mod to my radio transmitter, so fit in a single rechargeable LiFe battery. I just cut out the battery tray, pull the positive and ground wires, and soldered the connector that the battery I was intending to use had, and finally just added a velcro strip to the tray and battery to help hold it secure in my radio.

I did something similar to that, but I ran it through a Castle BEC. Something in that scale with that small of a motor doesn't draw enough amperage to need more than the 25A the BEC put out.

Ok , Medic we all know you are the man in #loadingwars #Loadingkings #rcsparksreboot #rcsparks #rcsparksstudio .... that being said after searching forever I finally got the new Carson forklift and I must say I'm very disappointed with this product, I watch loading kings and notice you use different radios on yours and they have better steering and power , while we are all stuck dealing with the big covid19 can you do a video on your mods and setup , have been watching your channels for many years and you are the forklift king ,,,,, thanks Brother, p.s. I have modded a Newray forklift and it smokes the Carson at less then 1/3 investment, HELP

A 2s Lipo has 8.4 V in the beginning and normally you will stopp using it with about 7.6 V (3.8 per cell), that's what you know if you are flying helis ;) 3.7 V (what means 7.4 V at 2s) per cell is already quite low (when landing), of course you can go down to 3.2 or whatever, but normally no one would do this; helis/planes often do already show power lack at these voltages. Only car guys go down that low ;-) - BTW: Could use NiMh, like Eneloops - they also have a higher current than 1.5 in the beginning and a more flat curve than normal batteries. Anyway, very nice video!
