Modifying my Comm Lathe to fit 550 Motor Armatures

This weekend was a test of my capability of precision with the milling machine. I have a special motor that needs to be rebuilt but the problem is, it's a 550 and my lathe is too small to fit it. So join me as I embark on a test of my machining skills in an attempt to get more use out of this already lovely little tool!

AWESOME VIDEO! Well explained and down to the specific numbers! That is the EXACT thing I am into with the aviation stuff I've done. Only us fab freaks can appreciate this. KILLER work. Feels so good when you can build it better. I bet I can guess the special vintage 550 motor also 😉 It IS special. Means so much to me.

The armature I was using in the video was out of a junk sealed-can motor and was for demonstration and fitment purposes.
