Current screen printer here. Love your videos. It’s cool how everyone has their own way of doing certain things. But I gotta tell ya if you get bigger and start pumping out higher piece count you’re gonna want an auto for sure. Saves on the wrists and shoulders lol. Also precision wise you can’t beat an auto once you figure out the set ups. Same exact pressure every stroke of your squeegee. Basically just gets rid of that human error factor.

Have you ever thought about trying out Newman Roller Frames? I think it would lessen the variable of your shop starting cool and heating up affecting the aluminum frames. Plus, you can control the tension of your screens and make sure all your 230's are at the same Nm and all your 158's are at the same Nm.
@leestuart384 жыл бұрын
I'd love to but I just don't have the space to accommodate rollers just yet. There's no one remotely close that deals with them so in order to do it properly I'd need to go all in and have the stretching table for them and everything. Once I move to a new space I want to transition over

Awesome video with a great explanation of the benefits of side clamps! I use an Anatol 6/6 and did use a brown 4/4.. both side clamps with micro registration. I think it is crucial to side clamp especially doing multiple colors in huge quantities.. however I would love a 4/4 front clamp for doing all our single color jobs and odd jobs.. probably a purchase this coming year!
@leestuart384 жыл бұрын
Both setups definitely have their benefits, I'm wishing I had just one front clamp for doing neck labels faster so I might add a single color press dedicated to that. But for multi color stuff you can't really beat the side clamps 🙌🏻

I don't know man..I have registration problems with my same 8x6 machine too, but $9500 for side clamps on a machine I feel like SHOOULD have dead on balls accurate registration as is!?
@leestuart383 жыл бұрын
Like I said in the video, it's no fault of the press. It's the flex and movement that comes from the screens themselves, side clamps get rid of most of that. It's definitely not $9500 to upgrade to side clamps, and you can buy this press with them already on. Both options are available on most presses on the market since a lot of people like the forward clamp for whatever reason, I personally think all upper tier presses should be side clamps only.

I can’t wait for the Rogue Lab “Boot Camp” where you offer 2-4 week internships where people can get hands on AND learn from you and your existing team. Just a thought….
