The hum you spoke of is hyundai's active engine sound. Its a feature added to newer cars you allow the driver to feel like the drive is sportier by adding engine noise to the speakers. In some vehicles this can be controlled in the audio settings. Thank you for pointing that wire out as I don't like this . i want my audio to be clean

Hell yeah these guys got this $#it down, hooked up my amp just now exactly the same way and remote works awesome. And the hum was there until I cut the blue wire on my 2016! Bam! We bumpin now!!
@josemendez787 Жыл бұрын
that hum was hyundais way of adding engine sound to the cabin. In mini coopers they added a vibrator plate to the fieewall to achieve this . Im glad i ran into this video as I dont want to disrupt clean audio by adding electronic engne noise. I achieved this ny accident on my motorycle by not adding a filter to my bluetooth controller. only makes the whine when I have the power connected .

For everyone that's having problems with this setup, please keep in mind that this is for a 2016 hyundai veloster so it may not be the same for other years or models.

I followed all the steps in this video and worked perfectly! Thanks! But now 5 months later, Im having problems. The active sound design for the engine noise has somehow started working again? While the hum isn’t constant, it’s on about 80% of the time. Cuts in and out. Only happens when engine is running. I cut the blue wire as you said in the video but don’t know what else to do. I’ve checked all my grounds, RCA’s and signal wires. Even bought a new LOC and still having the same issue.

Hi i hooked up my subs today same way as you did and even cut the blue wire everything works but when i get out the car and close the door the subs blare at full blast constant base! it last for a few secs till the line convertor turns off! I thought cutting the blue wire would fix this issue? I had this happen on our honda pilot as well back awhile ago and had to cut the wires thats going to the little microphone speakers that picks up the road noise's do i have to cut them as well?

Hey guys a just did this install in my 2016 Veloster, I used the same exact LOC and the subs work, but when I turn the volume up on my radio it seems to turn the bass down. Did your setup have this problem? From what I understand it’s because the head unit turns the bass down to prevent the factory speakers from blowing and the only way to stop this is to get a new head

@@markpulliam2053 I found that you have to cut another wire to fix it, its for the inside exhaust sound
@markpulliam20533 жыл бұрын
What additional wire needs to be cut? I cut the blue one and it did take the exhaust sound away like the video, just the traction light kept comin on after and once I reconnected the blue wire the traction light stopped coming on.

Cristian Torres make sure that your LOC is getting power (i recomend from the 12v accessory wire. see wiring diagram for factory amp) and proper ground. if the loc isnt getting power your amp wont either make and also make sure your remote wire is connected properly!
