@@heathstjohn6775 surely the original mod culture was not one for 'manhood', that alpha male status was one for the Rockers with their leather and bikes. I thought the original mods were a sub-culture based on such things as extreme narcissism, eye liner and the latest dance moves.

@@rogerramjet5302 Interesting. Different forms of egotism. Belonging as I once did to a retro sub-culture, by way of dress, (though even in that ! amusingly, I felt an outsider !), I've never lost interest in thiese matters.
