@@mattspacks7797 are both sides of your panels black? If you recently placed your order. You can reach out to them and request them to change it. As long as they haven't started on your order, I think they would be willing to make the adjustments you want.

A few thoughts: -these look like the frames are extruded aluminum, not a terribly expensive material -the drawers dragging on carpet is a design flaw -the wiring for the lights is poorly done -I'll bet the rest is just covered particle board, especially since I see if you want to support a higher weight, you have to buy different bases. Now, with all that said, are they poor value for money? Maybe. If you live near good acrylic suppliers, are handy with building things, then maybe you could do it cheaper. I do wood working as a hobby, and priced out building an equivalent with both wood framing and garage shelving, living one hour from an acrylic supplier; by the time I was done, I couldn't really save enough to make it worth while, especially when you consider the time involved. My conclusion is that it's worth the premium for these because of convenience and aesthetics. Also of note is that they will do custom sizes for you... but I don't know how much that would add. Too bad they don't have a North American factory...

- 6000 series extruded aluminum frame per their website. - the carpet dragging was disappointing and the company is aware. - they offer different lighting options. They have the strip light and spot light. And they provide adhesive to stick onto the top board.thr connection in the middle and sides can be improved so it's not protruding so much. They are working on developing a better lighting system. -base board I believe is 1/2 solid wood. The side and top panels are like particle board with white and black melamine. You can upgrade the top board to solid wood if you want to put something heavy on it. I have XM hulk buster and XM grimlock on the same shelf. Both are massive and heavy statues. The boards have no warping. The one thing I appreciate about the company is they are continuing to better their product. I like how they take feedback from the consumer as well.

@@CollectorsLounge Yes, I've examined their stuff quite a bit. "Solid wood" doesn't really mean much... could be cheap pine board or misleading. The companies behaviour does seem to be excellent, which is a good enough reason in itself to support them, IMO. They should be able to drop prices a bit with improved manufacturing... but why would they if business is good! On the flip side, it does look like they continually improve and re-invest in their product, all good signs.

Cool thanks man. My first order of 3 DF120’s took a year and a half to deliver so hopefully when I put in my next order it will much quicker. Because a year and a half is just ridiculous.

I agree that a year and a half is too long. Ideally around 2 months from the order being placed the order is shipped. I am guilty of making changes to my order a few times so it worked out the first time I placed my order lol

I went with Moducase because it's an investment in my collection, and I want my collectibles to look great for a long time...without having to dust them! Even with the long lead times, I feel like it was a great decision to stick with them. I hope they're able to shorten the production times in the future!

I ordered mine in March. Looking at getting them in January February right now but I agree I think it’s completely worth it if you are looking for a permanent option

I ordered the black panel and frame moducase. I’m thinking about switching to the white panel and maybe to white frame. I just couldn’t find enough pictures or videos with the white. Was there any specific reason why you went with the white panels?

Hey, they offer a silver frame or black frame. I am not aware of a white frame. But I would stay away from an all white exterior just because of dirt from the kids. The exterior black with a complete white interior would be ideal. I thought about painting the interior frames white at one point but I just didn't think it would be worth the effort. I prefer the black outer frame though just because it goes better with the room layout. Provides better contrast. I've seen 1 or two silver frames. In my opinion it just doesn't look as good as the black frame.

Are these statues all 1/4 scale? I'll be combining 1/6 and 1/4 and I'm struggling with the ideal combination so much... If these cases can hold up to 3 statues each, that'd make things WAY easier.

Thanks! Sorry for the late reply. Not sure the dimensions of the piece you have. I would say the best thing to do is to reach out to them. They offer custom sizes as well. Personally I try to maximize the use of the room I am displaying it in. Some people like white others the black back ground. At the end of the day, personal preference. You can't go wrong. Best advice I can give you though is kind of plan out the display area. What size and scale pieces then buy the cabinets. Try to utilize the area the best you can. The rest is all preference. I believe they have an app also where you can take a picture and virtually place cases to see how it will look. always double check your measurements.

Great review and how did you get the lights to cut on from verbal messages I’m getting my moducases in October?? Also great white background they pop and I’m getting all white everything then going to color my cases red so can’t wait to try something new cheers

Thanks! I connected all the light bars to a surge protector and then connected it to a Smart Plug. I attached a Link in the description to a similar Smart Plug. I also linked the smart plug to my google home and have key phrases to turn on certain lights.

Hey, you can reach out to them directly to put in a custom order based on whatever dimensions you want. Double check the measurements on your statues to ensure they fit.

I'm planning to get a custom Max 140 Plus just with 10-15'' more length to make it longer and also tacking on a riser to match the new length. I'm planning on kind of using the moducase as a TV console table (where the TV is wall mounted) and I was thinking of placing maybe a PS4 on top of the moducase as well as some remotes and a Roku. I'm not planning on putting anything heavy on it but should I get a top board to match the moducase or would the base top support about 15-20 pounds no problem? I can't find any videos of people showing the top all that much on the Max 140 Plus.

Hey! They do offer a top board that can support 40kg which is an add-on. But the standard wood panel that comes with it, will not support that weight. I would recommend getting the board through them. That way the color matches the rest of your setup

I am proud to say, I am the first to go this route. I customized my order. But normally, yes. The side panels are clear.

Sorry I mightve missed it, but did you mount these against the wall or are they freestanding?

Freestanding but they have brackets connecting to the moducase below on all 4 corners. There is less than 0.25in of clearance from the top of the moducase to the ceiling so it's impossible to tip over

On your custom did you just change the d of the case? If so was there a big price change by doing that ...im okay with the d on the max plus 150 just need to add maybe 2 inch on the w

I changed the depth and the height. But the length is based off the max140. Price will very though due to custom measurements. I ordered them during the 10% off promo during Christmas

The base boards are set in color. Only reversible panels are the side and top panels.

@@cht469 Thanks! I just took a look at their website and realized they updated since I've last been on there. Looks like the current option doesn't allow you to select black frame with white panels. They need to update it. I would just an email to them and let them know what you are trying to get. They can modify the order to meet your needs. If you like my setup. You can always just use my name as reference for the setup. I think my setup is posted in their customers collection images. I messaged them. They said they will be updating the page to allow for that

@@cht469 No, Dark Phoenix def will not fit in the MAX140. The internal height of the max140 is 26.77". DarkP is at least 28" tall. If you have the space. I would highly recommend sticking to the MAX140 Plus if you plan to only stay with 1:4 scale. Even then, not all the 1:4 & 1/3.5 scales will fit especially when it comes to customs. I would double check the measurements of you collection and pieces you might PO to make sure they will fit. and np. Thanks for watching. Glad I could help.

Your max plus you said had a depth of 35 inches. That was a custom mod, right?

The cases that have the transformers are custom height and depth. It's about ~35" d and about ~40" height per cabinet but the length is the same as the max140 so the drawers would fit under them

Any tips on putting together the risers? I’m having some trouble with mine

I never purchased the risers but it shouldn't be that different from the drawers. If you go their website they do have an instructional video. If it's your first time putting one together, the best thing to do is make sure all the screws are even and not staggered. Keep it loose enough so the rails slide smooth then tighten all at the end. It's almost like putting on a tire. You never tighten down 1 lug nut you work your way around until snug.

2 months? Lol I’m calling bullshit. Sea shipping, sorting, and preparation for delivery has been taking 4-7 months and thats separate to the manufacturing process. Right now it’s about 12-16 months wait. I’ve been waiting since Nov 2022 for my order

I was not including the shipping as that varies on location. I was referring to the manufacturing process per Bryan. Typically by sea you are looking at another 2 months to reach west coast port then of course sorting and so forth... Per Bryan they are getting new equipment which will improve the manufacturing process.

I ordered in November 2022 as well and was unfamiliar with how long the process could be. I was assuming that since they upgraded with automation that our wait times would be much shorter. If sea shipping takes two months, how much longer do you think it will take to get through customs and be delivered? Really just trying to get an idea of when we're actually going to see them. Do you think late summer or November 2023/later? Thanks in advance.

@@CollectorsLounge thanks. I emailed and they told me they expect them to depart in May so I'm hoping that will actually be the case. They were originally supposed to have been delivered in May, but if it's only delayed by a month or two I'll be fine with that. I'm going to need to order some more as I finish off my collection too, however, that won't be until 2024 so I've got time there. Really excited to see them in person. Hopefully as they continue to grow the wait times will continue to go down. It's hard to plan so far in advance when statues change so frequently.
