Module 2: Games from Concept to Design

Gaming + Esports Industry Essentials is an online educational program about the gaming and esports industry in partnership with the Fashion Institute of Technology. There are 6 modules ranging from Games from Concept to Design, Game Development, Revenue Models and Marketing, The Esports Industry, and A Game and its Communities.

The course offers a sequence of project-based activities and assignments analyzing the basics of game design, marketing, and project management. Students will gain the knowledge necessary to develop, plan, and execute Esports events - including social media content development to entice fan interaction. Instruction also covers the history of gaming, game story concept and iterative development, marketing and distribution, and the business opportunities that exist in Esports communities.
