It’s funny to see the outline of a fiat as a symbol for quality internationally sourced product when the fiats in the US are notoriously in reliable and often have serious issues in their first year.

The "catch" is that in real life, those who define what is "good" are elected and their campaigns are often paid for.

I wish you would read and respond to my problem and thoughts about this theory: Lean production=green... and perhaps=socially responsible. We are all related to our environment, system, and other beings in nature. In practices, these three theories are often done at the same time, but in theories, researchers are dividing environmental and social matters in their papers (I've read many related papers because I am doing my thesis right now). Another problem is that this theories are the most ideal but since this theory is a newbie and most business partners still use the conventional supply chain management. The business that use sustainable practices often end up with long negotiation with their conventional-based business partners. Or often materials to use to produce things responsibly are expensive, thus adding extra costs. Or other extra cost source is educating their poor supplier (referred to Tang, 2015). Do you think we can make this responsible and sustainable easier to do so we can make it popular and save our environment? Also, do you think Green Supply Chain Management and Socially Responsible Supply Chain Management can be done at the same time? Thank you and sorry for this very long comment.

Well presented but enhancing improvement has to be collaborative approach to ensure sustainability. Global supply chain managers are just one of many who can influence change.

This series is great up until the point that it advocates cronyism. Cronyism, or "lobbying to FORCE other companies" to perform at there level is not capitalism. This is what leads to government created monopolies and destroys competition. Competition is a company eating cost and spending more on environmentally friendly products to be competitive with a company that is already doing it. If a company survives its because the consumer wants it, not because government mandates it.

Wow. I was liking these videos until he started promoting cronyism and mocking sincere ethics. Way to follow the "morally-bankrupt businessman" stereotype. Done watching.

+Kelly Hawker Exactly what i was thinking ...
@Josephus_vanDenElzen8 жыл бұрын
+Kelly Hawker you are a very subjective person then, close your eyes for what is true and pass on information because you do not like the delivery or truth of the messenger. The only way for for ESG to get accepted is when it can be incorporated with making profits, that's just how the world works; the vast majority of people won't accept lower productivity and because of that lower wealth. Another example of a woman who makes decisions based upon emotion and subjectiveness, and then wondering why there are more men than women in top positions? That is why.

"Promoting cronyism" ? What an emotional and excessive reaction. Begin to learn to manage your emotions before managing a company...
