Big fan of yer content, Ally - love this one, especially. I finally procured my Nautilus this morning. Rings being my go-to as always, any chance you can break down your connections/signal flow here for me? ..Specifically PamsNW/Keystep/Rings/Nautilus. Keep up the incredible content fella. Best, Craig
@TheUnperson4 ай бұрын
Hey Craig - thanks for the kind words! Nothing too fancy going on with this set-up. I'm using Pam's to clock Nautilus and Beads, and to send some vibrato into Rings. I typically have the gate out from the Keystep triggering channel 4 of Maths to use as a filter envelope, and the pitch going directly into Rings.
@rubbermuscle3144 ай бұрын
@@TheUnperson Ah, thanks for the wee explanation here. Much clearer now. Thanks for all the hard work you put in for these videos, and for introducing each element of your modules in such a fun and musical way. Keep it up. Best, C.

Also loved the LPG patch, lovely stuff. In that patch is rings droning and being gated by triggering the LPG, or is it more rings is doing something plucky and both rings and the LPG being triggered by the same signal?
@TheUnperson Жыл бұрын
Yea, it’s not in full-on drone mode but it’s got a decent amount of release, and the rhythmic sound is coming from the LPG being triggered by a snappy envelope:)

I’ve owned a rings for a couple years now, and I still don’t understand what the structure knob does, other than totally fuck up the tuning. I love both of these modules though!!
@TheUnperson Жыл бұрын
Haha yea it moves something that changes things, often the tuning!
@GeorgeLocke Жыл бұрын
The "resonator" is composed of karplus style delays (string) or bandpass filter bank. There are many of these stacked in parallel with different pitches. The Structure parameter sets the way the pitches are spaced out.
