From my experience - just go Swamp Bunny farm with bonus chance for mods on component. And farm farm farm. At some point you will earn every purple and yellow mods. Then spam Devourer for reds and roll them.

I did some testing on something of my own So idk where to post this but Shock punch (111640 damage and knockdown) > kicking (89212 has knockback) > claws (72588 w/ 11 ticks of 1814 bleed damage) > shortsword (69775) > tonfa (50238 has same knockback as kicking) But shortsword charges the fastest and can stack exaltation stacks the quickest

Combining modules is a system that allows you to combine modules in "RANDOM" chance for a new additional mod. Combining 4 modules of the same rarity allows you a small chance to receive a higher rarity. (This is especially useful, for (red) transcendent modules to try and get a rare/harder to get transcendent module you need.) As far as has been discussed, ever since the betas. There are not any "recipes" for getting specific modules, but combining modules of the same rarity will obviously give you a higher chance of the module in that rarity you are aiming for. It would be interesting to see if there is some sort of hidden recipe system, but it seems unlikely considering the amount of work the devs would have to put in for a system like this with the copious number of mods. It seems to be the exact same system as mod transmutation in Warframe. Which would make sense considering 99% of the module system in this game is based entirely on Warframe's modding system. (As you guys work as a community and team to figure this out, I'll try it out myself as well as see if I can get some word from the devs on if this is a feature or not.)

In the tutorial where you first open the combine modules menu or when clicking the question mark in the top right corner it says "The tier and socket type of modules to combine partially affect the combined module." So the modules you pick are more likely to be similar modules. Be interesting to see how much the RNG are weighted to chosen modules

I think he's trying to see if the combine feature is not true RNG and instead may be a predictable yet complicated string. Something like: if module is type x, and is combined with type y, then use rng table z .This would allow us to break the combination feature. If you're familiar with with stardew valley, there was an exploit where you could dig up clay by digging in a specific pattern on the ground. It used to be that clay was perceived to be randomly generated when tilling the floor, but someone out there discovered that you can force clay to spawn by digging in an L shape on the ground.
