Great video review, shows everything we want to know. So glad it's a bit bigger than the detolf. As I like to put dioramas in my cases. So this gives us other options than the silly little one IKEA do now. Yes it's a lot more expensive than the other two but in anything you get what you pay for. I dont mind glass as my kids have moved out lol. I love that you can adjust the height to raise the bottom. But as i have a low ceiling it would mean i cant put anything on top. But that's ok. I will be getting two of the large display cases from Moduspace for a big display ( 89 Bat Cave) but now seeing this video I might actually get one of these with the order to try out. Not going to get rid of my existing detolfs as they fit in my collection very well. But love the idea we have another option for the same sort of thing to extend our collection, even though it's a lot more expensive.

These would be great in a low ceiling room I think even without putting anything on top. Fantastic review. Still undecided on if I like the look of this case. I have 3 detolfs currently, all of which I got for free which is nice but tempted to make the swap to the moducases as they seem better for a small space vs these mono cases.

Nice review. It's a very nice case. I like that it's aluminum and acrylic. I wish they had the option for a clear acrylic back panel. I have a lighted "star wars wall" behind my display that would be blocked entirely by these. Obviously my case is very unique though.

Agree on the premium look/feel. Some people see this as bulky looking but to me it looks like something that expensive stuff (figs) would go in. Maybe because my non 1/6 collectibles are in Billy’s w/ the doors the frames don’t bother me at all as I’m used to that look. May grab 2/3 of these for 1-off figs.

If they can hit the price point this is actually a really good deal. I went to IKEA to check out the Blaliden when it came out and it's a big pile of junk!!! I could see me getting one just to see it first hand and possibly replace a couple of my towered cases. I like the Moducases I have now!

This shelf is interesting but I don’t think it’s really better than the existing standard in the detolf. The large second and third shelves are nice but I’d say fairly niche for a very small number of figures that require that extra height. Maybe I missed it but are these shelf heights fixed? The thick bezel hurts the look for me, especially with that shorter top shelf as it cuts viewing angle, at Least from the video where it seems Vader’s top of his head is cut off. I think there is also the added durability of glass. While acrylic won’t shatter like safety glass, it’s also very prone to scratching over time. Of course a lot of that doesn’t really matter as the detolf isn’t being sold now, but as mentioned they still are fairly available.

Very fair points. The shelves are fully adjustable. I think people are split on the bezels for sure. I could’ve done a better job tweaking the height of the shelves so Vader’s head was fully visible. This is a good point about the glass vs acrylic. Ultimately comes down to what you prefer. The acrylic can scratch but also there are products like the Novus acrylic cleaner than can help with this. You make a fair point because like you said the detolf is still readily available. Ultimately it’s good to have all of these options. Thanks for watching and for the detailed comment!

You absolutely can use the video, thanks! Novus is nice. You can get it on Amazon. There are 3 different levels/versions you can buy: a clean/protect, fine scratch remover, and heavy scratch remover. I recommend it.

Another question I have is, assuming they make the final product dimmable (because I agree, way too bright), do you see side lighting being an issue compared to top lighting? One thing I do like about my detolfs and the lighting I have set up, the light looks really good shining down on the figures. I'm worried the side lighting won't look as good.

The side lighting looks great! I don’t have an issue with it. The lights will include a dimmer. I actually just posted a video talking about the final product and the changes made if you want to check that out!

How does the weight compare to the Detolf? I’m curious if you can put the MONO on risers, such as the IKEA Kallax.

It’s definitely lighter than the detolf, I can move it around relatively easily. The box was a little over 30 pounds. You can likely put it on a riser without the feet on. Mono will have a 16” in height cupboard riser as an optional piece as well. Thanks for watching!

Upon purchase how long do you have to wait before you receive this. I mean some people say buying a moducase take’s months before it arrives.

These will be batch ordered and ship quicker. First batch is 200 units and should be ready to ship by the end of April. Every batch thereafter will be available every 6-8 weeks. Hope this helps!

Not bad but I may be more tempted to go custom cases. Personally, I prefer glass as acrylic panels scratch so easily, even with gentle dusting. Also, the close-up of the tape stuck to the front panel looks cheap & sloppy. Perhaps due to being a prototype? Are moducases like this? Nice presentation from a distance but remain to be convinced. Fair points! I prefer the acrylic but for different reasons. Glass is nice but I just can’t risk it shattering in my particular situation. I wouldn’t say the front panel black tape strips are sloppy. I maybe could’ve done a better job showing them. They’re well aligned and adhered. A little thick but also needed to disguise the vertical light strips when viewing from the front. Other moduspace covers have this tape as well but it’s thinner. Thank you for the feedback and I appreciate you checking out the video!

I think it looks sturdy and definitely better quality than either comparative case but it just seems kind of ugly with the thick chunky borders. The vertical lights on either side of the figure definitely wash it out too much too. Not necessarily a fan of that. Price is definitely an issue as well. Great review on your end though bro!
