I'm not an emotionally tearful guy, but pet loss always gets me right in the heart. It's so easy sometimes to see people we know from KZbin or the Internet in general as if they have things ironed out and that it's more sitcom or HGTV show than real life. But seeing you tear up mixing in the ashes was a real human moment, and I cannot imagine a more appropriate tribute to Karma than to be the light in a room.

Love this! I did a bunch of stuff like this with my husbands ashes, even putting some in tattoo ink for a memorial piece. People think its crazy but it's someone that you love so much, and now they're right there with you in a way that is tangible. I'm glad you get to see Karma every time you see this lamp. OMG! What an absolutely beautiful tribute to Karma! I was sort of expecting you to embed the box of his ashes in the base of the lamp, but mixing his ashes directly into the pour was definitely the right call. I cried my eyes out! And using the sand to create the decayed, broken-out section- a stroke of genius. It looked so natural. What a perfect project!!
