Great song choice...I'll bet Moe has more than a few more 10's just waiting to hit the channel! Moe was born in Miss. but was raised in Texas. Both him and his brother were well known bronc and bulls riders and I believe, they both made it in the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame. Simply put, anyone alive in the 70's in Texas knows Moe! I highly recommend "Hank Williams, You Wrote My Life".

I agree with the 10. Great songwriting, singing, instrumentals, danceable. One of the most memorable and enjoyable concerts I attended was Moe & Joe, all of us knew the words to every song Mow Bandy sang. One of my favorite artists.

This song came out when I was in my late 20’s or early 30’s. I liked it then, partly because my kids were young. We all want to watch our kids grow up. Now, I’m almost 60. The kids are grown and I have a granddaughter. My parents’ health is declining. This song has a completely different meaning now. The words used to relate to myself. Now, those same words become a prayer for our kids and grandkids. Thanks Don. You’re the MAN!! Thanks to whoever requested this one, too!

Happy Sunday morning Don, Wow! I haven't heard this song in quite awhile and had forgotten that it is so good. I've made it to that age, but the real tragedy are the ones who don't.

I love Moe. Got to see two of the Moe and Joe shows in recent years and they are great. It's a shame that these country legends are about forgotten now.

Great song and just one of many by Moe. We danced all night long to this one and all his hit songs just a couple weeks ago at a place near our home and only about 1/4 mile from where Moe live for many years and he and his brother had their own rodeo arena many moons ago. He sounded as good now as he did well over 40 years ago when I heard him for the 1st time live. Please do everyone a favor who tunes in to your channel and try out a couple more of his songs like Bandy The Rodeo Clown, Someday Soon, Cowboys Aren't Supposed To Cry, Picture In A Frame, & Americana.

More was underrated totally. He did a variety of types of songs ... honky tonk. Cheating, funny boys getting in trouble songs with Joe stamps. Drinking songs rodeo songs. So many. Someday soon. Is a good one and... Bandy the Rodeo Clown.

@@garygoodman4342 But Gene's thing is being a virtuoso singer who wows you with is voice--especially on "Farewell Party." Moe is more of an everyman type singer, whose engages you with the stories that he conveys in song.

Great song with a lot of truth in it. The closer we get to death the more we want to live. And we are to watch our children grow. We re not suppose to outlive them. Ive outlived my only girl so i really feel this song. I say i want to live while im alive. Not mine, but i try to live by it. Im almost 66 now and ive seen far too much death. So i Live!! We all btr.its really short. Great song. Lov how you put some thot into your reactions,you dont just say. Oh boy,what a great song. You think about it and thats whyi likeyour chann soo much. I see you struggling with the hat. Born and raised in rural Texas and I still can't wear a hat. I look utterly ridiculous in any kind of hat. Suggestion... Listen to Lyle Lovett "That's Right You're Not From Texas" and the hat thing will make more sense. The clouds will part. The skies will open up and the sun will shine more brightly.
@RockN2Country2 жыл бұрын
@twfronterhouse I reviewed Lyle's song a year or two ago--always loved Lyle and that entire album. As for the hat, I'm comfortable with it now. I normally wear baseball hats, but the Stetson is fun for this Jersey boy to wear once in a while. :-)

@@RockN2Country how did I not see that reaction... Oh wait.. Just checked and I just watched it the other day...lol. senior moment. Road to Ensenada is a great album. Think my favorite on there is "It Ought to Be Easier". My oldest daughter loved "Fiona" and used to run around the house singing "she's a one eyed Fiona" at the top of her lungs, of course. Keep doing what you're doing. I like it. Especially your "heart of country" series.
