@pipervibe34274 жыл бұрын
I have always struggled with reading. The practice section with the blackout ribbon is extremely helpful for me. I believe for me there is a disconnect between very short-term memory of looking ahead while playing the current notes. This practice method forces the discipline and seems to work well for me. Do you have more practice material like this that is along the same range of difficulty so I can develop the habit and then move to more advanced? Very good stuff! Thank you.

The problem is that when I read fast my brain can't translate notes and finally I got nothing and I'm still not understanding what's going on with that music sheet how can I fix this I mean to fast translate notes ?!!
@OGibbles6 жыл бұрын
Well, that sounds tricky. This is all a process and it will take time. Something that might be happening is that you may be "translating" the notes too many times. Maybe when you see an E, don't think "This is an E AND I play it as 1st finger on the D string" (assuming you play violin). Maybe just think "1st finger on D." Eventually all that math you're doing in your head will happen really fast. But this video is suppose to show you how to give your brain more time to process all that translating.

Question : How do I remember what note is which? I never remember while reading the music I’m playing on my cello.
@maddoxandhisband91462 жыл бұрын
i play guitar and one trick that works for me is to recognize intervals in relation to the scale. for example if i read that my next note is a fourth away from my current note, i just play the note thats a fourth away from my current note. i dont think about it as letters, but rather as a list of intervals.
