It could be either depending on the context. Kai tracid pioneered the acid trance genre, but suprisingly he did actually refer to this track as a techno track through a hashtag in social media. But he opened with this at Dreamstate socal, a trance festival. Labels shouldn't distract anyone from the fact that it's good music. We can call it either depending on context. That would be better since so many lines are getting blurred between subgenres now a days
