I wish that they could have remade the entire game; making a near exact replica of the game but with modern graphics (not just lighting and the odd texture improvement); this game is the best MOH and is definitely one of if not my favourite fps ever.

I mean, they should, but in the Resident Evil 1 style, having the same game with new graphics and expanded in certain areas such as mission detail, revamping design where it needs and the like. Any other option would be a high risk to devalue the game.

I prefer the first two soundtracks and Airborne, but this is quite good as well. I found it a little too repetitive though. Reused the one theme way too much, although I will say that happens with Underground somewhat as well.

Allied Assault, Frontline, COD1, and CODUO are my favorite games of all time for shooters. The games were just done right. Thousands of hours logged into them. The good orchestral music adds a lot of value to the games immersion. Use to be better days when it came to shooters. Use to be about skill and accuracy when playing these games. Now its about achievements and all that junk. Games use to have more gameplay value. Nothings polished anymore.

Not much of a remake, but the lighting looks a little bit better and graphics a bit. You can also actually aim down the sights! (which you can't do on gamecube. Don't know if you can on ps2 or xbox.) also the controls look better

greenmumm Actually yhe lighting as you said is better and shodows are of higher quality. Some textures and models are of higher resolution. And yes the HD remake has Aim Down Sight feature. And no i have the game for the PS2 and it doesnt aim down sights.

This game is how I began to be interested in WW2. I learned a lot just from playing this game. What our soldiers had to go through was horrifying. Much respect to them and the ones fighting today in the Middle East.

That is actually my only complaint about this game. The beach landing is kinda lame, but you cant really get too mad at it because it is all they could do with the technical limitations at the time.

this is still my favorite mission in the game. One of the few times in a war game that the experience is so intense you literally for a few seconds feel like you went back in time and are there. This classic looks awesome in HD.

Watching this, and seeing this game again man. You have to admit they did well on the sounds, playing the d-day mission never felt so real, even on a game so old. I have yet to feel the same on normandy missions in any other game like this one does.

This game was the beginning for me. I used to play this and Ace Combat 4. Everyone that saw this game was amazed by it. The way we look at Call Of Duty today was the way this Franchise was supposed to be seen. My understanding is that most of the development team left EA after Frontline. EA gave us MOH Rising Sun which was ok but did not have the same feel as this game, they dropped the ball, a major blunder. Then they tried to recapture that magic later on but it was too late. By then the first Call Of Duty came out which was AMAZING for the PS2!

This was the first shooter I ever played. I remember playing the first mission and getting stuck within the first few minutes. Attempting to shoot the gunners in the pillboxes, when I was supposed to shoot the pillbox around them. I find it kinda funny that the game had fully rebindable controls, but almost none of the newer shooter games have this feature. This game was great when it came out, and is still fun even now.

This game along with original Call of Duty (remember that one, the one that was actually fun and hard to play) deserves a proper remastered edition. Across the board, PC, XBox, PS3, Wii, you name it. MoH, CoD, UO were games that made you stay late just to see what's your next mission. They were difficult, realism based shooters. The best WWII games ever made. If only someone would do that. Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Saving Private Ryan, The Longest Day, enough material to go around.
