Once I sprinted past the first guy who recognizes you, and none of them noticed me until the building at the end. Once you got to the restaurant, they would catch you and say "Kitchen staff, huh?" Pretty cool:D LOVE THE MUSIC IN THIS LEVEL!!! AHHH!!!!

In the first room there's a shotgun sitting on the crates in the corner, makes the fighting between it and the shotgun by the keys all the easier

Its levels like these that really stick in my mind when I think of this game, just the amount of detail the designers put into the levels and how beautiful and realistic it looked. I also loved how the Germans have such personality (I loved listening into their conversations in the vain hope of picking up some German & loved the way they interacted with eachother), it made them more human than just random featureless AI to mow down as was the case in the games in the series that followed. The little things like that matter so much!!!

Also, the room @2:33 has a hidden STG44 on top of the cabinet. you need to jump on top of the stove and then jump to the cabinet.

When I played this On GC I could occasionally sneak past the guard at the desk and maintain my cover, but once I reached the courtyard the AI would mess up and I'd have to blow it.
