In my college Edelweiss came with 2 roles: SDE and Data engineer. I applied for Data Engineer. Cleared the test and went ahead for the interview but couldn't make it through (we discussed a recursive solution for 35mins). Now I have an on-campus offer, SDE at StoneX Group Inc.

@@shekharmodi they asked an irrelevant question, God knows why. The DSA test had 2 DSA and 3 SQL questions. One of the DSA questions had a recursive approach. So after i cleared the test, the interviewer started with my resume overview and then we discussed that recursive solution, since the answer i submitted wasn't optimal he wanted me to optimise the answer which i couldn't. And after 35,40 mins the interview got over. Another friend who got selected for the Data Engineer role wasn't asked DSA but his interviewer discussed with him the SQL solution and then the Machine Learning projects (i had ML in my resume as well). That's it. Basically it's quite unpredictable.

Look for openings of a Python Developer on job portals. Go through their JD. There are Python Developers of two tech stacks - Data Engineering (Big Data, Hadoop, Apache Spark, Hive, etc.) and Web Development (Django, Flask, HTML, CSS, JS, etc.). You will notice that PD and DE are interchangeable roles in many companies. So it's important that you go through the JD and then apply for the role. Don't just apply to a role for the buzz word.
