Both of the writing of the lyrics (or poems) and the composition of the music of this track are by Aref Qazvini (1882-1934). This track is composed after the Iranian Constitutional Revolution took place in 1906. For the first time, Aref Qazvini played the music as the Setar soloist (Setar is an Iranian instrument) and performed the vocals himself at the opening ceremony of the second parliament of Iran in 1909, In the memory of those killed in the path of freedom and fighting for the Constitutional Revolution. There is no recorded version of performance of this track by Aref Qazvini; but from that time until now many of Iranian musicians performed this track and the best version of the whole performance is this version by the legendary singer, Mohammad Reza Shajarian.

The wheel or wheel of time in this poem is a metaphor of the sky. In the belief of Iranians, since ancient times, the sky was like a wheel from which destiny originated. In this poem, the poet blames the wheel or the sky for making such a destiny for young men and calls it a bad promise and a bad deed. In Shahnameh, an epic book of Iran, there is a legend called Siavash, who was a symbol of purity and chivalry, when he is killed in war and the enemy cuts off his head from his body, tulips grow from his blood and The title of the poem and growing tulips from the blood of the youth of the country is rooted in this myth.The poet compares the painful atmosphere of the death/ killed of the young people of his country to the nightingale who took refuge in a flower and says that the flower has torn its clothes because of this sadness. The poet compares the blooming of a flower to tearing a garment out of sadness. Tearing clothes is a thing that is usually done in mourning or during enthusiasm. I dedicate this song to the spirit of Reza Rasai, one of the protesters against the death of Mehsa Amini, who was executed this morning.

Would you please react more to the classical iranian music and surely of him too I would recommend to react to the " تفنگت رو زمین بگذار" "tofangat ra zamin bogzar" this means put your guns down it was about The crucial Islamic Republic trying to make guns and weapons and start wars and when he sang this it was so politely although Islamic Republic removed him from anywhere and banned him from singing in Iran until the "bam's"(city name) earthquake that he did a concert for charity of the city and the government could not let him for doing this and they let him do that concerts after years and he was a fighter against Islamic Republic and he was one of the reasons that Iran's classic music didn't die in Iran so I got to say rest in peace Muhammad Reza shajarian 🕊️ and woman life freedom ✌🏼 zan zendeghi azadi 🟩☀️⬜🦁🟥

As the name suggests, it's a performance held with live instruments in a tiny location but excellent audio. It's my personal favourite live performance of traditional persian music. It has a quite a few wow factors 😜

6:50 You are correct. The reason is that with traditional music we have something like "schools" (not physical) How do I describe it....kinda like schools of thought. Every "school of music" (we call them devices in farsi) has it's own distinctive set of guides on how to use vocal cords and how to reinterpretate old pieces of lyrics etc. Mohammad Reza Shajarian is the pioneer of the Shajarian "device"/"school" So for example; A piece of old poetry can be expressed through Shajarian device, which in simple terms mean performed in Shajarian's style.
