"If two groups of the believers fight each other, seek reconciliation between them. And if one of them commits aggression against the other, fight the one that commits aggression until it comes back to Allah’s command. So if it comes back, seek reconciliation between them with fairness, and maintain justice. Surely Allah loves those who maintain justice." Surah al-Hujurat, 49:9

I just hope before AD and MH another debate took place, they would at least ask other Brother to review whether their format is suitable or not. Personally, i really like Shamsi way of argument. Clear and concise and simple to understand, and respectful. First impression is rough, but once 2 or 3 times watching, you know it's not because he's offensive or anything. Yeah. Hope AD and MH able to get other brother for suggestion and help on idea for debate presentation before executing it

As an arab native I can tell you that Knowledge in Arabic doesn't make you a better Dawa person or a better debater if you won't use your arabic knowledge to improve your knowledge by seeking the teaching of the scholars, As muslims we have to work on improving our knowledge specifically if we want to be part of islamic Dawa ... I was subscribed to Hijab for years but couldn't watch more than a video in a year because he was too aggressive and has tunnel vision... They should humble themselves otherwise they'll fall miserably. I still watch their videos, but always disagree with how they behave or how they respond to certain things. As Egyptian myself, I assure you that Mohammad Hijab does struggle when he tries to speak Arabic, both Al-Fusha and even Egyptian accent are both broken. Anyways the language is NOT the standard to judge a Muslim or a reason to humiliate them. The Prophet Mohammad saw. used to treat people equally well even if they harmed him, that’s why his message spread fast. Saajid don’t be sad he’s such an arrogant person thinking he’s helping Islam by attacking others. May Allah swt. fix our hearts on the true iman.

To all the people commenting that brother Sajid's public reaction to Ali dawah's debate was uncalled for - you're wrong. It wasn't only called for but a 100% needed and necessary. The debate was done publicly in front of thousands of people, so a public reprimanding was totally CALLED for against the flaws and the faulty mannerisms displayed in the 'debate'. The greatest injustice being the fact that the 'debate' didn't really accomplish anything. It wasn't even REMOTELY beneficial, because if the purpose was to expose AP, it has been done countless times before in a much better way. Salam.

Now after the refutation video Apus and David wood united to mock our deen even more. PS: I don't agree with Ali Dawah giving someone lime Apus a platform but Saajid Lipham is very silent against Islamphobes and quickly makes a video to attack Ali Dawah.

When my country was implementing the Sharia Law, every News outlet was pouring in with lies and bs, spouting incorrect occurences about how we're stoning g-y people and taking the rights of women, how they're NOT allowed to drive. There's also rumors going around about how non-Muslims weren't welcomed in the country and we were rude to them, some courtesy of Drew Binsky. None of that is true, we're a small country and news travel fast and I can assure you, nobody was stoned or got their hands cut off. Not only that but the Sharia Law wouldn't affect the non Muslims at all. Even if he doesn't have to, brother Saajid was the only one standing up for my country and for that, I will always see him as a fair and just person. Thank you brother.

Hijab and Ali have crossed all boundaries. Islam is NOT in need of them, they are the ones who are in need. This arrogance that they showed, cannot be expected from any Muslim. What they did was against Quran and sunnah and what they are doing after being reminded is against Quran and Sunnah. I appreciate your work Brother Saajid. I don't usually comment on videos but this time I felt the need to do so. Firstly, I would like to say that I completely agree with everything you said here, and jazaka Allaho khayran on the respectful manner you used to deliver your opinion. Secondly, I remember how few years ago I used to really enjoy watching Mohammed Hijab's clips of debating and so on and I always felt proud having such a great knowledgeable and confident man in Islam, HOWEVER!!! Recently I started feeling weird about him. I watched some recent videos where he appeared to be.... (I really don't know which perfect term is to be used here) but let's just say those videos didn't really represent the modesty of Islam. YET, I didn't want to focus on that too much and I told myself that he's a human after all, so he can make mistakes. Then few days later, I stumbled upon a video of him commenting on an Egyptian atheist, but I reaaaaaaally did nooot like the way he talked about him, as you said in this video, it sounded like he was BULLYING him (and don't get me wrong, I'm not defending that atheist here, I also don't like him and don't like how he is illogical and always after Islam in specific even tho he doesn't believe in any religion) BUT STILL, the way he was talking about him in that video didn't align with the manners Islam taught us, I felt soooo uncomfortable watching that video, and ever since then, my opinion of Mohammed Hijab turned more neutral than positive. As for Ali Dawah, well, what can I say!! I never felt comfortable listening to him in the first place. He makes some disastrous and illogical points of view in the name of Islam and that gets on my nerves. I always wish his videos don't go viral cuz they do more harm than good, and they spread a false imagine of the true essence of Islam.

All I can say on the subject is that I find Saajid to come across as very genuine. I do not always agree with everything Saajid says, but I do think that his efforts are rooted in honesty and his words are spoken with humility. I also watch and appreciate some of the videos of people associated with Muhammed Hijab - and their quality, apparent motivation and levels of hubris are reflected to various degrees. Some speak well, but some are clearly prideful in word as in action. We should only be talking about each other with the intention of positive correction and warning - not to inflate our pride; the discerning ear hears the difference in how the two groups address each other. As our Christian friends say -- Ye shall know them by their fruits. Allah knows best.

Whereas, there are is lot of pride and mockery in some peoples commentary.. humility is sweet to the ear. There is a lot to learn from this situation- but I think that the main lesson is not in what caused the fray but in how the parties involved conduct themselves and nurture it. 'The servants of the Merciful are those who walk the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, “Peace.” 25:63' -- Allah knows best.

Islam clearly specifiy who to be idolized and does not depends on good/bad role models in youtube to be accepted as a good / peaceful religion. This is problem of morality of certain individual, and would not change the superiority of Islam. Our prophet and his Companions have represented what to do already. @@ThePunisher014 salam i'm just going to allow myself to answer the question as I had a somewhat similar feeling as Cosette here. I never knew much about them ( i didn't even realise all this happened until i found this video) bc most of the time when i ended up begining to watch a video of them i would click away rather quickly. Might be a personality thing but the agressive undertones (at least the way i perceived it) are not really my "flavour", and i didn't like the argumentation style when debating with other people as i was usually left feeling bad for the other person and reminded of the debates my classmates had in highschool, where facts and logic were used but still seemed to only scratch the surface of the subject at hand and where at the end the one thing that mattered was being right and trumping over the other person, i don't really like debates with "opponent vibes" , where you're just supposed to take the other one down, a lot of the actual subject can be (imho will be) lost, ig that's why i prefere to listen to discussions over debates in general, and that's why i said might be a personality thing. Also i'm not trying to say that this is their general behaviour or even their intention, it's just the way that the little that i did see came off to me and i wrote it off as just not my thing and went to look for someone else to listen to hope this answeres the question and offers another perspective
