Is there any wave outside the water or outside the sea? There is no temple, which is outside BABA, whatever great form they may have, it has to surrender to the sea sooner or later. ONLY GOD IS... OM SAI RAM... Baba About Fasting - Sai Satcharitra Chapter 32 - Fasting and Mrs. Gokhale Baba never fasted Himself, nor did He allow others to do so. The mind of the person who fasts is never at ease, then how could he attain his Paramartha (goal of life)? God is not attained on an empty stomach; first the jivan Atman (personal Being) has to be appeased. If there be no food in the stomach and healthy nutrition, with what eyes should we see God, with what tongue should we describe His greatness and with what ears should we hear the same? In short, when all our organs get their proper nutrition and are sound, we can practise devotion and other Sadhanas to attain Godconsciousness. Therefore, neither fasting nor over-eating is good. Moderation in diet is really wholesome, both to the body and mind. One Mrs. Gokhale, came to Shirdi with an introductory letter, from Mrs. Kashibai Kanitkar (a devotee of Baba), to Dada Kelkar. She came to Baba, with a determination to sit at Baba’s Feet and observe a three day fast. The previous day Baba said to Dada Kelkar that He would not allow his children to starve during the Shimga, i.e. Holi1 holidays and that if they had to starve, why was He there? Next day when the woman went with Dada Kelkar and sat at Baba’s Feet, Baba at once said to her, “Where is the necessity of fasting? Go to Dadabhat’s house, prepare the dish of Puran Polis (wheat rotis with gram-flour and jaggery), feed his children and yourself too.” Shimga holidays were on. Mrs. Kelkar was then going through her menses, and there was nobody to cook in Dadabhat’s house. So Baba’s advice was very timely. Then Mrs. Gokhale had to go to Dadabhat’s house and prepare the dish, as directed. She cooked that day, fed others and herself. What a good story and how beautiful its import!

I don't understand why every master is trying to belittle the life here on the planet as impermanent, bundle of likes and dislikes etc....See, it is the impermanence that makes the life beautiful here........What is wrong with impermance.....???......Now just look at it closely... If you are going to settle only for the permanent or what you call as spirituality, it also falls to certain category of likes and dislikes....Isn't it..???..You don't like impermanent, you like only that is permanent....Again, just see, somebody is happy with impermanent, but he wants more of it and somebody is happy only with permanent and vast, both these people are travellers of the same boat ...Aren't they????....they only think in their mind that they are different....They aren't...Just see this vicious circle.... Also when you say, life is impermanent here, you are actually referring yourself or the very life as only a physical entity completely..... If you know that you are more than the body , then how you say that when you aren't there any longer in the body, you are finished??.....

Dear @, Masters are not belittling any life, they are just making people aware of their full potential. Second, there is nothing wrong with impermanence. But being aware there is permanence removes suffering because of impermanence. Third, Masters operate from cosmic consciousness and not from the mind. So their operating level is far beyond likes and dislikes. They are purpose-bound. They reestablish dharma. Trying to understand cosmic consciousness with intellect is like trying to measure an ocean with an ounce glass. So, never underestimate a Master. With love, Team Mohanji

Instead of big statues please make sure that some of books about Baba will be trsnslated into as many languages as possible. A statue might not mean as much as the miracles that people experienced in Baba s presence.
