I think one of the best hints of this is when we enter the Palace and Mohg immediately attacks us. He just assumes our intent outright. Almost like a guard dog. But. I find it ironic that Miquella is supposed to be love and yet Mohg is genuine love. Rykard wants to eat you, Morgott protect the Erdtree, Godrick wants to graft you or prevent you from stealing his rune. There’s usually a cutscene depicting the reason they wanna hurt you. The two who don’t make sense are Malenia and Mohg. Both of them are in pretty passive states. But more importantly about Mohg being a pos we LITERALLY dont know that. Since the fight with Radahn was the last event of the shattering Mohg had been under Miquella’s control since then, and thats 1000 years ago. The entire covenant has been shaped by Miquella’s manipulation

Mogh has a cutscene. He may be protecting the egg, but it's just as likely that he fought you for his blood god. That is what he did to all his other kidnapping victims. The formless mother just wants endless stabbings and blood sacrifices. He doesn't say get away from my egg when he sees you. He welcomes you to his dynasty, which is all about knife wounds. We know this from Varre, who was kidnapped, the enemies in Moghs area, the ROB guy, the blood guys in the dlc who have no connection to Mogh, etc. That's what the formless mother wants. So why does it matter if Mogh attacked us for the formless mother? Because Mogh had blood magic before he kidnapped Miquella. He used it to leave the haligtree. It also explains how he got in. No one knew where Miquella was until Mogh died. Meaning he blood warped in and out without being seen. Mogh is a victim to Miquella, but the bloodletting is all him.

With how Ansbach is vs how Varre is, I think that there was a huge change in Mohg's followers at some point, which would most likely be when Miquella started using Mohg to power up the egg. Also, just a theory, but I think Miquella deliberately encouraged the evil nature of Mohg and the Bloody Fingers so that a target would be painted on their backs, and in turn a powerful Tarnished would eventually come and kill Mohg, leaving his body available for Miquella to use.

Just because Miquella can charm people, it doesn't mean literally every person who likes him or is attracted to him is charmed, he is beautiful after all. In the end, it is a physical contact thing, and he has legions of followers, he has also charmed some of his followers not because they are not loyal, but TOO loyal, and charmed them to make sure they wouldn't wholesale murder everyone not on Miquellas team. Lastly, Mohg is one of the only people who seems to fully able to interact with an outer god and be completely unaffected by their insanity, he is also someone totally proud and unaffected by his omen heritage, he is probably by far the strongest willed being in the game. And an outer blood god is far more powerful than the Demigod Miquella at the time, yet he is unaffected by that mind shattering bs. The last, and true piece of evidence, everyone who is actually charmed by Miquella, follows Miquellas goals (though to be clear they aren't mind controlled, just have love and compassion in their hearts, we've seen true mind control with the parasites) Mohg, is fully determined to have his blood dynasty, that is NOT what Miquella wants, but he has shown no interest in making a Dynasty of love and compassion, infact he seems to want the exact opppsite, a Dynasty of Blood and Murder. They all love Miquella and want others to love and serve Miquella, but you heard it from his own mouth. "MIQUELLA IS MINE, AND MINE **ALONE!** " Miquella isn't controlling Mohg, sorry but you all need to have nuanced thinking, there is no one big great absolute evil, Miquella is beautiful and loving and kind, and so mohg wanted him as a natural opposite would, it's that simple.

You all need to learn nuanced thinking, instead of jumping to the next absolute evil every few months, the whole game is trying to tell you that. But you all fail as usual. Understand Goldmasks ending, Miquella is not some evil big master manipulator, he's a genuinely selfless and loving being, doing the best he can in a horrific dark will, with all that he has, he wasn't born some giant warrior who could just take what he wanted and kill his enemies like Radahn. He had his beauty and love and compassion, and that's what he used, Miquella didn't want the murder blood dynasty, that is all Mohg, and I don't blame him for it, who knows what's right and wrong, but all I do know, is Mohg wasn't controlled to do that. He's no saint, but I wouldn't spite him going for what he wants in his life, no matter how dark. These are just the account of ONE bias character, they all say different from each other, you all believe this because it's what you want to believe Miquella is a very pure character, and the purest characters are always the harshest to be judged if they show even the slightest impurity. On the opposite, the most heinous and evil characters are judged as the most beneficent if they show even the slightest purity, enter mohg. Ranni prepared a doll for her soul to inhabit afterwards while Godwyn was trapped in his own decaying flesh. His soul still exists like I stated earlier because he will attack you if you harm Fia. Edit: Upon reading further, his soul is indeed suposed to be gone fully, but he still seems to have a degree of seemingly concious capability. A really weird contradiction that doesn't make much logical sense lorewise unless Godwyn is somehow manipulating his body from some other plane of existence.

Fia protects herself with the esscence of warriors she has embraced, then there is the soul of one of the eldest dragons that is still holding on that has invaded Godwyn's mind. Fortisax acts against you, Godwyn is a still living husk that infects everything. Godwyn essentially is a cancer while the remnants of his dreams belong to whoever goes inside. Ranni could take over Godwyn, but much like Fortisax would become infected by Godwyn's cancer.

Why couldn’t he have just stayed a pedo? A game where “wait officer he’s actually a thousand years old!” was treated as being extremely gross and weird by the game itself and not just it’s fans was really refreshing. But no, turns out poor Mohg was magically seduced by the forever-child and it’s not his fault in the slightest. Sometimes I feel like it should be a rule that all writers of every medium have to take a step back, look at their story, and ask “could somebody mistake this as being my fetish?” I doubt that Fromsoft was actively trying to get away with slipping in something creepy, but I am sure they’d have benefited from pondering if an evil sorcerer who resembles a little boy brainwashing men to find him sexually attractive against their will could send a weird message.

I think one of the best hints of this is when we enter the Palace and Mohg immediately attacks us. He just assumes our intent outright. Almost like a guard dog. But. I find it ironic that Miquella is supposed to be love and yet Mohg is genuine love. Varre and Ansbach love Mohg, so much even when Varre feels like he’s been abandoned he still wishes The Mohgwyn dynasty best luck. Lord of Blood for life.
