A NEW DEY IN MUSIC HAS ARRIVED! And so be it! The Mohini Dey ERA has arrived and not a minute to late! Finally an honest artist has arrived to usher in a new direction in music. She’s here and there’s nothing anybody can do about it. Just freaking enjoy this incredibly generous gift from the Gods!

She’s just a bass player for goodness sake, 5 years later and the world is worse so news flash, artists and celebrities don’t make the world better.

So many haters ..show some respect ..she's a beast young and talented..comes from a very disciplined background with a musical family...she will rise to her own voice..Appreciate the beauty.... Try to walk a mile in her shoes....Or go someplace else for your fix of the music you like...So much hate..Oh yeah her skin is brown ...that can't help the hate.....too bad the hall is so noisy...

The real jam begins at 6:37. I love the choice of her backing track. It (the first one) is the new (but not so new) face of Indian classical and Jazz. I had seen her last yr NAMM performances, in a free flow jam. Without a proper backing track (and context), it was a flurry of notes. Having seen her at a live gig from 10ft away, this girl equipped with nuclear power of destruction. Thanks for posting this JD.

She's got SUPERIOR chops! I think she can more than hold her own against the greats. Her phrasing is top-notch too. That kind of speed is rare, but it isn't as impressive when it is 97% of what's being played on any instrument, especially on a bass guitar. That said, what impresses me most about her playing is the clarity she's able to maintain, even at 50 notes per second. That takes SKILL. Hats off to Miss Dey.

Y'all jealous frustrated bass players here, she's 21yrs old!!! She is a monster for her age. I've never heard another 21 that slick, you need to listen to her play actual songs, she's overpaying because it's demonstrates the versatility of the equipment she is payed to demo. How do you know if you want a I'm amp if you just hear one thing done on it. That's why she's all over it. It's not like she does this everytime. The tinny slaps are from the recording and tone, I'm sure this mark get fat but you can't hear slap well on a phone. So keep whining and pretending your a great player if all you do is criticize and not show positivity and understanding. Steve via saw something in her haha

@@TheRealJanKafka Tal is equally brilliant. Their playing styles are different. Both are exceptionally talented bassists. They have their own unique stamp which most players can only dream of at this age. There is no logic in comparing them unless they are playing the same music.
