The CEO of Coca-Cola who bought the film studio which he was referring to was actually Roberto Goizueta who bought Columbia pictures ....now Roberto Goizueta is the same guy who instituted the anchor bottler system which lead to coca cola strong growth in market share worldwide under his leadership coca cola went from 4bn dollar market cap to over 100bn dollars during his time as CEO I hope monish pabrai is not reffering to him as an idiot

@@yesudeep that's not the Question the question is are you calling Robert Goizueta who took coca cola from a 4bn dollar market cap to a 140bn market cap and lead it's international expansion are you calling that man who. Warren Buffett himself praised are you calling him an idiot? ......and you are not familiar with the history of coca cola though the Colombia studios acquisition was a mistake it did not overall cause any real financial loss ....once it was sold to the Japanese at a premium it infact sold for a profit overall

@@yesudeep well if you look at the history of coca cola it has never really been run by an idiot in fact the most idiotic thing it probably did which Warren Buffett acknowledged was that it gave all it's distribution rights to 2 people and that was a mistake and it prevented coke from reaching the returns on capital that it achieves today because it essentially promised those 2 people a fixed rate on the price of sugar for eternity it's actually Goizueta who unwinded that contract ....now during that period come wasn't doing too well .....so bottom line is No! Coca - cola cannot be run by an idiot the mistake many Warren Buffett fans make is that they preach what he says and take it to heart without really understanding the narrative behind it .....coca cola needs superior management to maintain it's long term competitive position

Bonde Barca not really, it’s a better brand than other colas and owns the best soda and drink brands that are hard to replicate and have immense pricing power to use and an idiot can run it because all they have to do is raise prices and return capital to shareholders and they’d still do pretty well.

@Bonde Barca are you kidding me 🤣🤣you're attributing the success of coke to their bottling system ?🤣🤣

Mohnish says banking is a bad business -- but Uday Kotak is worth more than $10 billion. Indusind, RBL and several other great wealth creators in banking. Margins in banking are not 1% they are 2-3%. Meanwhile Mohnish's biggest investment RAIN industries is still falling...IEX has gone sideways.. etc. Mohnish, time to change your thinking?
