You covering this is a dream come true. Moi-Même Moitié's social media has been a profound source of laughs and comfort in these trying times. Andrea and Mana are the best. Also you are so right that Moitié is hard to get second hand. People who buy them hang onto them and it doesn't go out of fashion. Look at old GLBs, Gothic Lolitas still mostly look like that. If you look at sweet you can see how much it has changed. Thank you for the shout out to my channel at the end too!

Buying new MmM pieces is super tricky because they're super expensive, more so than AP or whatnot and I'm assuming ppl are just reluctant to sell the hard-earned pieces coz there's no guarantee you'd be able to find that same piece again or anything for that matter. I managed to score 2 jsks and I'm pretty sure I'll never sell them. If you're curious I got sleeping garden jsk in grey and rose scallop chiffon jsk
@kidaria13334 жыл бұрын
yeah they are in general very expensive and the sizing had been a problem for international audience a long time. Back in the days there wasn't much shirring at all and even when the offical size measurements always said bust 82 or 84 so bigger people thought it wouldn't fit even if it did in reality. Also the beautiful prints are sold out very fast.

Meeting Mana-sama at AWA last year was the highlight of my year. I felt embarrassed being so emotional when I got his autograph and to shake his hand but I’ve been a Malice Mizer fan for over a decade so I think it’s understandable. I cannot fit MmM’s pieces due to my size but I am dedicating myself to buying their accessories when I can.

RAISE YOUR HAND IF MANA-SAMA HAD A CLEAR INFLUENCE ON YOUR GENDER Seriously I have been a huge fan of Mana since like 2006 when I was like 13 and being nonbinary (didnt know until 19 tho) and seeing someone who goes so fucking against the grain of gender norms and it being celebrated and adored was huuuuge for me. It's honestly what attracted me to a lot of visual kei bands back in the day, though now I mostly listen to just Malice Mizer, Moi dix Moix, and Kozi's stuff. I have always dreeeeamed of owning MmM but price and the sizing is very unforgiving for broad tall people like myself, so I have been terrified to buy anything since I think I'd die if I couldn't fit into it

Fellow Enby here, and YES, I can still remember the utter glee and awe I felt, seeing Mana as one of my first exposures to lolita in the early 2000's and then realizing he was dressing in a gender-subversive way! I couldn't get over how great it was and how much he inspired me because of it!

It's so interesting to listen to someone narrate my own floaty thoughts and feelings I have about Mana's presence. I've been loving your channel lately, and that of ScarfingScarves as well. I'm a gay guy living in the UK, and although I'm not interested in Lolita fashion for myself - I admire the aesthetic, but more so I admire your positivity, it's a really nice distraction during the pandemic and I find it relaxing to watch your videos or have them on in the background. I'm a costume designer by profession, and have worked on several stage productions in the West End of London (think Broadway in NYC but in London) and you've inspired a couple personal projects of mine based on both your own aesthetic but also that of your lovely girlfriend. Once I have finished all the preliminary sketches, and get working on the pieces, I would be more than happy to send these to your PO Box if you have one or ScarfingScarves for a good roast video xD I've worked on the likes of Wicked, Cats and most recently Cinderella.

Every time I hear someone talk about MmM I cant help but think about a story one of an acquaintance of mine. I like hanging out with him, he wears elegant goth on like a daily basis. So he was at one of the MmM stores somewhere in the 00's, wanting to buy pieces for his wardrobe. When he was at the store Mana was there as well, he got into an argument with Mana about something visual kei related. Afterwards he was refused when he wanted to buy anything and was kicked out, by Mana. it's been a while and I've forgotten the details, as well as who won the argument. It looks so rediculous now I''ve written it out, I should ask my friend again sometime when all of this is over and we can meet again. I myself would love to own some MmM someday though, but all of the pieces I like are too small and my sweet wardrobe won't be verry complimental.

He is a cool person but he can be a bit difficult or lets say sensitive. When he performed at WGT festival with moi dix mois he fall over a cable and had been pissed and even showed the middle finger (photos exists) to the crowd ^^° After his few europe concerts he avoided international performances for a long time. I think we scared him and alternativ organisers often aren't as proper as japanese. On his second tour they booked way too much shows and in the end only 1/3 of the concert locations had been filled expect paris (but some very aggressive hardcore fans there. - one girls iron gate got damaged with intent).

Motie is so rare because they has been one of the last shipping international and for a long time they didn't do any shirring at all and the few times even if no proper information about the real sizing on the websites always bust 82 or 84 and overall very short so only petite thin westeners deared to order. The very beautiful dresses also has been very fast sold out (iron gate get the same amounts of money as puppet circus) and it seems they do not produce that much in quantity. And sometimes they do very simple dresses which are beautfil but many would tend to buy a medicore goth dress for 70% less. They also have always been on the very expensive side.

This video is a year old, now, but I just found you and I'm binging all of your videos like I did Tyler's the past week, so I just found this one. THAT BEING SAID; You know, Mana-Sama always does really serious-looking photoshoots and always poses a very serious way and never talks, but at the same time, I feel like you can really see a strong sense of humor in the stuff he does, as well. Like he's being over the top with it, but I think there's also a lot of subtle goofiness in him being so over the top and so serious and stern-looking and silent but doing the most mundane stuff. I swear, he knows how amusing it comes across and he utilizes it. XD Also, as someone who's been interested in lolita since like...2004, and with MMM and Mana-Sama as possibly my first introduction to the fashion on the internet, I'm glad to see he's still up to his shenaniganery 20 years later, and that his clothing line is still going! I love it, even if I could never wear any of it with the size I am right now, and I hope it all keeps going strong for years to come! :> It certainly doesn't help my fondness that I'm nonbinary, and seeing him in his outfits way back then made my baby-enby heart sing, because I first thought he was a woman, (as I'm sure a lot of people did their first time seeing him) and then realized soon after that he was a very pretty man wearing very pretty dresses and just...blatant and visually loud and unashamed about it! It was so reaffirming! I don't know what his gender identity is, or if it's just the fashion that he enjoys and it's not about male/female/nonbinary for him, but I love that he does it, anyway! Break those stereotypes, let people be who they want to be whether the normies like it or not!
