Now... about the last episode...GUYS EPISODE 8 hello????? SO SO AMAZING. This show seriously, no words, it's amazing. Do yourself a favor and go watch it, everyone is incredible, the cinematography, the editing, the script EVERYTHING is amazing. Kudos to everyone involved in the show.

I don't read the books but I just have to say this, Moiraine and Siuan's pairing is remarkable. At first, I thought it could just be Pike and Okonedo's chemistry as actors but no, it was actually Moiraine and Siuan's individuality in the story that made their relationship very touching. Kudos to every person behind this series. I can't believe they've managed to reveal such great amount of their bond within a few minutes of screentime together. This edit is amazing 🤧

Rosamund Pike asked for Sophie Okonedo to be cast as Siuan. Which is awesome and explains their chemistry. Also while the first on your knees was part of the script, the second one was improvised by Rosamund.

This has literally nothing to do with the books. The entire series misses out massive plot devices for no reason. It makes no sense why they made some of the changes they did.

Readers who are freaking out about seeing this relationship on screen need to go back and read New Spring. They have an extremely deep bond. They were together as novices ("pillow friends" = what you think it does!) and then they were bonded in danger and in the mission of saving the world. It's pure and it's deep. Two of the strongest women ever written in fiction. I am not gay, but I ADORE this couple and when I heard Rosamunde and Sophie were playing them, I burst into tears.

Two actresses just absolutely elevated so much, one of the best character episodes in the series, gave me high hopes, though the ending of the season was a bit flat. Sublime edit that even educated me on that I didn't catch when Moiraine was dying from trolloc poison she was speaking for Siuan

Sophie Okanedo (Siuan) and Rosamund Pike (Morraine) played the hell out of their roles in The Wheel of Time. I loved their nuances, their accents, their beauty and most important their power. This show honors women and shows them respect. The sexual chemistry between Morraine and Siuan just makes you want more of them together. Beautiful edit and your HD quality was on point. I'm pretty sure that in the books Morraine was never in a romantic relationship with The Amerlyn Seat which makes this romance come off as pretty awkward to those who've read the books or have some knowledge of the lore of the series. I wonder how Morraine being in a relationship with The Amerlyn Seat is going to end up affecting her eventual relationship with the character that she does ultimately end up with later in the series🤔

Extrapolating that sexually intimate scene in Ep 6 from the small amount of ambiguous writing in New Spring seems rather forced to me. I think they set out to make fundamental changes to beloved characters. Just like they made Lan overly emotional in Ep 5, unlike the super stoic Lan we know from the novels. I just see patterns and agendas. That is disrespectful.

@@goldentwilight1944 Would you've thought the relationship was "forced" if it was with a man? Probably not. They were canon (not endgame but still canon) in the book, they're canon in the show. Adaptations need changes, if you have all stone cold characters they become boring and no one cares about them so for me, little changes like screaming for the loss of a friend instead of being stoic, are not a bad thing. It makes them more human.

@@goldentwilight1944 Well but they didn't change her sexuality, she's still bisexual. Her being with a woman in the show or having and endgame straight relationship on the book doesn't change that. Can't seem to find the ideology you mention on their emotions and relationships to be honest. To me, it was interesting to see another side of Moiraine and how much she was willing to leave behind. I don't know, there will be many seasons, they have time to develop Thom's character, I doubt that what we saw was the last we see of him.
