This is one of my favorite portrayals of Pico in an FNF mod. He’s been through, what, two school shootings now? According to FNF lore, he’s a hired assassin, and since Hypno’s Lullaby is canon to this mod, (Hypno is shown in the beginning as one of the monsters BF has defeated) he’s also squared off with Purin. This isn’t the first time he’s stared death in the face. And Pico will always fight to make sure it isn’t his last.

I mean, besides some exceptions, Mr. L has never really been shown as all that powerful of a character, rather being more foreboding and mysterious. As for Pico, I don't even know what the deal with his is, so I'll give you that. As for the melodic aspect, I can understand why the odd nature would be a turn-off. But I think it works better in the context of the game. I don't know the exact location that Overdue takes place in, but I'm pretty sure it still takes place in Too Late.exe, which is a corrupted copy of Mario 3. So it kinda makes sense why the music itself would be off, considering the fact that the whole game is.

My only genuine hangup is that I wish the instrumental were louder compared to Mr. L's chromatic - because _chanting_ - but his chromatic is basically the instrumental anyway, so It's a minor caveat. I never found FnF "horror" mods intimidating (I enjoyed their creativity and music, though), but Overdue's last running sequence is kinda spooky and I love it.

I mean what changes compared to the other mods is the atmosphere, for example sonic.exe just shows jumpscares and hypno has some atmosphere to it but Mario’s madness has a lot of dark atmosphere which is why some people can find this kind of scary or shocking

The beginning of the song, amazing, the ending, though leaving some things desired, really damn good The visuals, absolutely incredible, the chase scene at the end was really good especially But, I don't think I need to say, the middle of the song just falls flat, and the reluctance to use Pico's pitched chromatic, though a respectable choice to be nostalgic, really leaves a lot of missed opportunity for harmony and melodies.
