Also a bunch of their writers left to do things, Dan Gurewich is on John Oliver's show, Sarah and Streeter went to SNL... Those are just off the top off my head but at least the ones who stayed till this point are all great judging by the shorts from Um Actually, Dimension 20, Game Changer etc.

I mean, they've most likely always been political, I can't say for a lot of their stuff since I never really followed it, but I do remember a few videos I watched a long time ago and it was still politically charged. I mean, come on, they're collage kids/adults/just making it for or about collage kids, that's gunna be pretty political. No shot they didn't do a video about guns at one point or another, mostly a school shooting joke or two and also some cost of tuition as well. Then again I could be totally wrong and they made safe as non-political and least alienating shit ever. The only thing that changed is you noticed politics you disagreed with. Which is probably involving trans or gay people represented in a positive light, making fun of bigotry (which I thought everyone was or at least should be unilaterally against), making fun of Trump. Which might I add everyone should be able to do, I mean, he's a fuckin' clown regardless of his policy after all. Like what, only Biden is able to be mocked for being sleepy? Come on. Every time I hear "Lol orange man bad" as a response to making fun of how Trump speaks I gotta think to myself "This guy probably has a Let's Go Brandon bumper sticker..." So yeah, the "woke" shit just isn't for you I guess. I don't know why people are even so obsessed with "wokeness" to begin with. If it's not your cup of tea I don't see why people care.

I know I’m 6 months late, but i feel like the golden age of KZbin humor ranged from 2010 (when RLM took off), all the way to 2018 when Funhaus hit its peak. Five years later, and RLM is the only channel I’ve stuck with for the last 15 years

Look at their older videos without nostalgia glasses. They were never funny, they just didn’t have any competition and were doing something new. They died because more competent channels came along and rightfully ate their lunch.

I use to work for college humor. They lost their charm when the owners finally started making money and then decided to upgrade to the "LA" lifestyle and got the fancy high rise office (which most videos were shot in) with the $5,000 standing desks and started the pressure push to put out bland, low budget scripts as fast as possible that made even the crew cringe behind camera. They all uptight douchbags behind the scenes, especially the two older guys. Trip was cool though. Id chill with that guy anytime

@nickdoe7770Ай бұрын
They didn't get laid off, they all went on to do other things. Sarah and Streeter went and wrote for SNL, various cast members wrote for other shows. It's just they tried replacing all the talent they had with a diverse writing and performing cast, and frankly, they were no where near as good.
