I don't agree with this "power dynamic" argument when it comes to a celebrity and a fan, assuming the fan is a consenting adult, of course. It is just so broad and arbitrary. There is no power imbalance here. Someone is a celebrity and the other person is someone who likes that celebrity. The celebrity has no more power of coercion than anyone who has someone who is infatuated with them. Power Dynamic is used in a case where one person is in a position of power that can be wielded against the other, which can lead to a perceived sense of coercion in which someone feels like if they don't accept the advances, something will happen to them. That applies to a boss and an employee, who feels like their boss can retaliate professionally, for example. A teacher and a student, who feels like the teacher could grade them unfairly or deny opportunities. There is absolutely no power dynamics between a tiktok star/youtuber/streamer and someone in their comments other than basic infatuation. You could say that they are using their platform to prey on fans, that is certainly a fair way to put it. But I don't think the term "power dynamic" applies at all, for these reasons I mentioned.

Don't worry mate, I think everyone with any sense of decency understands that 18 is the line. Hell, here in the US there are still multiple states with an age of consent if 16 or 17, but that doesn't mean that the people who live there generally think that that's okay, it's more just archaic legislation that hasn't been changed because our politicians are too busy ramming each other in capitol backrooms. I remember in my state, it was legal to marry as young as 14 up until like 2008 iirc, when we finally got around to having a referendum. In the USA there is a federal age of consent- 18 States have different ages of consents- for example WV is 18 federally but state wise, our age of consent is 16. Now when you look this up it will tell you "age of consent is 16 in WV, that means anyone who is under this age can't physically consent to an ADULT sexual activity" I think we need to make this a little more exclusive. Say something on the lines of "if you are 16 this is age you stop at, anyone above this age is wrong, and I blame the parents on that, plus the adults who go for it.
