Mojang Just Made A 3x3 Door!...is it any good?

Mojang just released a surprise 1.21 Minecraft snapshot, 24w14a! And although it doesn't add much, Mojang just made their own 3x3 piston door! The thing is 1 wide and works in both Java and Bedrock edition which is crazy!!! But is their redstone actually any good?

Kinda sad about the date this is posted on. I mean, Mojang has previously done in game tutorials for redstone and other mechanics by putting them into structures, like the traps in jungle temples, the zombie villager curing station in igloo basements, and the redstone tutorial section in the ancient cities. It wouldn't even be that ludicrous for them to actually add it.

Trial Chambers should be loaded with piston doors, both within the chamber and with multiple entrances and exits. It suits the chamber so well and shows off what the piston can do to players who aren't going to interact much with redstone.

Tree trimmers accidentally cut my internet cable between when you clicked the button and when it started opening, and I didn't have internet for 3 hours. there is also redstone behind the copper lamps now - calibrated skulk sensor reacts on a player and turns all lights off, so it is more challenging now.

i found something that MIGHT change the red stone community, i found out that the new vault block plus a observer and the copper bulb can make a player detector (as far as i know it works on bedrock). also good to know there might be a few problems but as far as i know nothing has come up in my test world other than active trial spawners. Any ways I just wanted to let people know about this and who knows this comment could be revolutionary.

What Mojang really should do is replace the inner stone button with copper pressure plates (an item/block that would only activate when a player steps on it). This way, it'd really feel like a trap (bar the fact that you can literally tear through walls).

I testing the door on bedrock. it is not spam proof, but it is incredibly spam resistant, I had to try really hard to break it. usually if there is a failure, just turn it off and back on again and it will fix itself, but it is possible for it to break. there is one modification that I made, which is just adding 2 blocks of obsidian, so that if it does break, it does not break very bad (although it already was pretty easy to repair, now its even easier).

tho, mojang already did a 3x3 door some time ago, just not for a structure, theres a tutorial on how to build one in the redstone book that mojang released
