My camry's ac is fresh but not ICE cold. I was wondering if when adding refrigerant would I have to evacuate the older refrigerant? I'm dying in this heat even with the AC is on

He should have retrieved the refrigerant and refilled as per weight specifications for the car.

Sure if you have a recovery machine, recovery tank, gauge set, scale and a bottle of the correct refrigerant that can connect to the gauges (1/4 flare). Although that's if you have $1500-2000 to spare. Or top off by pressure. Which is also a correct way to charge refrigerant. All this keeping in mind if it's low, there's a leak.

Would have been awesome if you would have created a video showing how to connect the hose and recharge the AC, etc and did a voiceover explaining what you’re doing and why you’re doing it . Creating a video with yourself in it talking about what we should do isn’t helpful.
