Welcome!
Today I am flying 242 miles north to Winston-salem. This trip is one of many because I've been working on an aviation project there. I will announce what this is about soon so please stay tuned.
This was a relatively smooth flight. Cool air at 9,500 ft. Air traffic control was also great and helped out. For the aircraft performance, I was cruising at 148 kts (170 mph) true airspeed which gave me about 138 kts (159 mph) ground speed. 129 kts (148 mph) indicated airspeed. All while burning only 7.3 gallons of fuel per hour.
The Sling TSi is a great performing an economical machine. Hope you tag along and enjoy the flight.
See you at 9,500.

Young man I and my wife rode along with you on your trip and we both enjoyed the trip and experience! My wife has never flown before and this was the most exposure to air travel she has ever had! I am an experienced traveler and spent some time in the right hand seat with other pilots before, once even doing aerobatics which was a blast! Anyway, once again we enjoyed your taking us along for your trip and the explanation's you gave as we traveled, making it very informative and interesting! And your flying skills are good as I could tell you took flying safely serious! Nice landing as well- smooth and intentional. So all in all it was an awesome experience especially for my wife which is what I was hoping for! As I mentioned she has never flown and was a bit nervous about our plans to fly to Vegas as I am going to treat her to a vacation in the near future. She is no longer anxious! Cool. Good job buddy!

@@thornyturtleranch6152 Man, I hate to hear that, so I'll offer this heads-up about reversing glaucoma; yes, you can reverse it. Search "The MOST Important Vitamins For Eye Health - Dr.Berg" to get started. Dr. Berg is a doctor who produces videos advocating health through proper diet, specifically KETO and intermittent fasting (IF). KETO combined with IF enables one to totally reverse insulin resistance and the plethora of symptoms of metabolic syndrome it leads to, including glaucoma. Eating too much sugar and carbohydrates and eating too often leads to insulin resistance which is the first of a "domino effect" responsible for 95% of the degenerative conditions that cause premature death. I am just a 60-year-old guy who adopted this lifestyle to successfully reverse over 15 symptoms of metabolic syndrome. It's been an amazing transformation made without utilizing any kind of pharma-based options, just natural healthy eating habits. If you decide to follow through investigating this data, I am convinced you'll be able to reverse your glaucoma and reap a whole lot of additional health benefits as well. I feel like I have a new lease on life. Here I am, 60 years old, and I am as enthusiastic about life as I've ever been; that's why I am here; I think I will learn to fly. Good luck pilot, I wish the absolute best for you.

@@jgregorygraves5792 thank you J gregory. The things you mention help with health and many things. Reversing glaucoma means 2 things. You can overcome it depending on the problem, keep positive and don't give up ,I'm almost fully recovered from an enlarged heart that was between 13%-30% performance . I was weak couldn't walk a few steps without sitting or stopping, couldn't do anything , I was retaining water everywhere was swollen from my head to mid section to my feet and toes, couldn't drink anything, had to go for Lasix shots for days in a row to pass out all the water, thought I was gonna die but kept positive, then I started getting stronger then the swelling stopped because my heart started to function better and supply my kidneys etc, actually came off the diuretic, still on a couple meds, but always believed I was a good healer and at the moment I'm on the way to a full recovery.. Mine was due to severe stress beating up myself about some business failures, constantly thinking about it and chain smoking etc.. Wasnt worth the worry ,nearly killed me, stay positive and keep telling yourself you're gonna recover ....all the best to you..

I got sick of tasteless diet food and it was actually depressing, just be sure to back it up with some cholesterol tabs when you do and depending on your symptoms and tolerance to food now you may need some antacid also.. All the best to you on your recovery.

PLEASE be careful to make sure that the information you convey is accurate, and the skills you share are sharp. As it is, you are teaching people bad habits. Among other things, you comms leave A LOT to be desired. Keep it tight, my friend. When I was a kid my school took us to the airport on a field trip and we got to go inside the tower and talk to the controllers. One of them took a radio call and then told us that's an airplane approaching, but that it's too far away to see yet. Then I pointed at it and said "I can see it, it's right there" and the controller said "no, he can't see it, it's too far away" and then picked up binoculars and said "oh damn, there it is". Then he looked at me like I had super-powers.

One option could be filing IFR, so ATC already has a clearance strip of your flight when you got to the “B” airspace! Takes a little more flight preparation. Helicopters fly by road reference!

He did not have an IFR rating at that time ... Now he has. Or at least, is very close to. I did not check recently

Enjoy your videos. The only thing I’d ask you to show more is altitude, airspeed & compass direction, along with shots of air map to show where you are relative to destination. I’m going on a Sling demo flight in Torrance tomorrow, hope to start flight training soon.

I wouldn't have gone anywhere near a Sling cause I assumed it would be slow and not IFR capable until I've watched all your videos in the Sling. Now I may save the $$ and get one rather than a c172 or SR20

@@mojogrip and your absolutely right when it comes to mission, my mission is to fly myself to and from the mines in Australia, I'd rather fly 4 hours each way than take the airline which is a lot faster lol but I miss 2 days in total of my days off cause they don't operate each day where as I can finish work and fly directly home with a quick stop. At the moment I rent Tecnam 208 with 2 g3x its equipped like your sling. At the moment it fills in that mission but I'd like something faster. Gets you thinking that it will only be myself and the occasional flight with the Mrs and dog so I don't need a large 4 seater SR22 especially when looking at the cost.

240 miles in driving distance is not the same as straight line A to B by flying. A best in 22 mins he can only gone a 100 miles with some tailwind. Top speed of an Sling TSI is 178mph. NOT trying to rain on Mojo parade. Just math plus I use to fly in the military.

I can’t believe how many commenters are saying “240 miles in 22 minutes? That’s not possible you must be lying!” Hey Einstein, the video is just under 22 minutes long and it covers his trip that is 240 miles. This isn’t rocket surgery.

The title is crazy. 240 miles in 22 minutes is over 600 miles/hr. That’s much faster than a P51 Mustang.

@Gabe Lackman I didn’t think anything different until I saw all the comments whinning. Lol it’s like those videos car dudes make “building my car in 10mins” well obviously it’s the video length no one can build an entire car in 10mins ... interesting that so many people take things so literal.

Don't fly on an empty stomach is one of my personal piloting maximum's. If I don't eat before I fly my stomach becomes acidic and problematic especially if it's a bumpy day. If I can eat before I'm Ok to fly even under the most turbulent conditions. I know that seems weird and counterintuitive but experience shows that it works for me.
