I like drying just a little, and when I pack a Turkish style bowl. Funnel bowl I pack straight out of the pack 😎 nice video, thanks 🙏

I find with the Adalya tobacco I squeeze half until it's almost dry completely, then I add some tabacco straight out of the pack and mix it together. I find it really works well for a long session that doesn't get too harsh in the bowl. I also use a funnel bowl with no HMD. Hope it helps for anyone using Adalya :)

I use adalya and i have problems to get proper taste from it. I don't feel the taste. I don't know why.

@@lucyferia I agree. When I use the natural coconut coals I find the flavour is a lot better. Unfortunately, I do use the Starbuzz 35mm quick lighting coals more often than not. I do think the tobacco quality with Adalya is probably the best on the market for the price though. Do you think it's a little too dry when you are packing the bowl?

For me, it depends on the bowl. If phunnel, dont dry unless the tobacco is just dripping wet. I found when tobacco is too wet in phunnel, the juice "boils" or something and that isnt a good taste to me. Tobacco manufactuers, though, have been good on not making the tobacco that juicy though as they are getting better. For Turkish or Egyptian bowls, i dry a little because i dont like the juice running into my hose. And to dry, you dont have to do much, just put the shisha on a paper towel like at Mojo and you are fine. I learned from watching them at Mojo lounge and it has worked out really well for me. Me and my fiancee lived in LA and used to come down to Mojo hookah lounge all the time but we moved to Northern California. When we come to visit family in LA, we still visit. Thanks so much for the detailed comment! I totally get what you're saying about the phunnel bowl and tobacco juiciness-it’s definitely a fine balance. When it’s too wet, that boiling effect can mess with the flavor, so drying it a bit makes sense. Turkish and Egyptian bowls are definitely more traditional in that sense, and I agree that a little drying can prevent the juice from leaking into the hose. It’s awesome that you picked up some tricks from us! I'm glad to hear that you guys still visit us when you in LA 🙏. Thanks again for the kind words!

Not drying for sure man always my preference, informative video. I think I’ll give drying my tobacco a try and see if it does have its benefits. Hey life’s always about trying new things.

What do you think about the JIBIAR tabacco ? I heard for exp that Al-Faker is just flavor and not rly tabacco inside.. i'm bit undecided because of that.. i tried the russian Element.. and must say that this tabacco is very strong .. is there any chance you show in a video how to prepare the element tabacco without getting a razorized throath :D

Haven't heard about the JIBIAR tabacco. But we will try it. Sure, good idea about the element video. Btw. Element air line has light tobacco. You shgould check it out.

Hey ! Which Cosmo bowl would yall recommend for AF shisha?? I seen you guys recommend this in the comments a few videos back . I went on 5Star hookah and they have different types from cosmo . Can you please tell me which bowl from them to get ? Thank you 😊

I'm having a little trouble with mine, i recently began smoking hookah again after years. I worked in a few hookah lounges and everyone makes hookah differently. There was one lounge who packed hookah dry, im talking squeeze all the juice out of an al fakher double apple kind dry, and it was nice as strong, tasted like liquorice. Ive started making hookah at home, trying to replicate how we made it but it just burns out after a couple of minutes. I'm using a traditional clay bowl, two thick layers of foil and a decent amount of thin holes with my fumari hole puncher. I dry my tobacco, and cut it up a little bit then loosley pack it into the bowl with the hole in the middle of the bowl exposed. This is how we made it, but after a few minutes, it just burns out😮‍💨 any recommendations of what i might be doing wrong?

It depends on the production and country. Back in the days - the tobacco was resl juicy and over moist. I.e. AF double Apple in Turkey/ Dubai is more juicy than in Germany due to regulations. You might have a container with „smoke ready“ moist so I would try to pack it without drying. But just experiment with the tobacco and bowl your using. Also let it gently heat up for 10‘. Let it hest up for 5‘ then change to a fresh (hot & orsnge) side of the charcoal. Place the coal in the middle of the hot screen (I assume you use hot screen hmd with turkisj style bowl) but not in the center. The coal should have same distance to the rim and center of the hot screen. Session duration is somewhere between 45-60‘
