Samus does NOT have X DNA. This is a colossal misreading of the game. She does not assimilate X DNA, she metabolizes the X like food and reclaims stolen weapon data from them. Metroids eat X parasites, and that is exactly what the Metroid DNA allows Samus to do to the X. It does not make her a gene stealer.

⁠@@N.i.E.M.O…no? Not only was Phaaze, and by direct immediate extension, Phazon, completely destroyed, we literally see the Phazon corruption inside of Samus completely disappear. When Samus destroyed Dark Samus and the Aurora Unit, and the planet began dying, Phazon was completely and utterly eradicated. Not to mention, Phazon corruption is highly mutative and deadly, without her P.E.D. she would’ve either (1) mutated into something other than herself at an accelerated rate since she no longer had a failsafe on her, or (2) she would’ve died from sickness or just the exposure to Phazon without a device protecting her. She is NOT corrupted with Phazon anymore. Prime 3 and Federation Force both confirm that Phazon no longer exists.

Sylux was introduced in Prime Hunters (2006). Ian was introduced in Other M (2010).

@@Toastfreak Except the only time we see Ian in Other M is in a flashback, when he supposedly dies according to Samus. It's possible that he survived by getting to an escape pod.

This would be really cool, but I doubt they'd go through with that theory. As already mentioned, Ian as a character was created years after Sylux appeared in Hunters or Prime 3, and according to comments made by Retro's Tanabe, there was already a backstory for Sylux that was simply never told in Hunters, but he wanted to tell it in the future, so unless they decided to just drop that original backstory, it's unlikely they'd 'retcon' him to be Ian Malkovich. Plus, the Prime series and Sakamoto's games (2D Metroid and Other M) have virtually no direct references to eachother outside of the Prime games taking place after Metroid 1 (and Meta/Proteus Ridley showing up in Metroid II remake, which was MercurySteam's idea). Not to mention that Other M is widely considered to be a black sheep of the series, so it's even more unlikely to be referenced here. And finally, since Ian was made by Sakamoto, I doubt he'd give Retro his blessing to use one of his characters and 'mess' with **his** story. As it is, Sakamoto merely tolerates the Prime series, under the condition that the Prime games do not mess with the 'main' Metroid mythos, which are the 2D games (and Other M, lol).

I had funny headcanon that Space Pirates originally "recruited" Ridley when he was a fuzzy cute baby, wanting to keep him as a pet. Later however, as Ridley grew older and more terrible, he became more of a proper member.

I get the feeling that Samus in Metroid Dread is a clone. •After Samus gets nocked out at the start, you begin the main game at the bottom of the planet as opposed to the top like in other games. •Samus' suit is different compared to the suit that she landed on the planet with. Also the mostly white outfit is commonly used in games where the chatacter is a test subject or clone. •Raven Beak talks about how successful you are and that now he can clone his own army of Samuses. It seems like you are the first test subject to be as powerful as the real Samus. Those are just my thoughts. I know Samus' Ship is still parked at the end, but maybe Raven Beak is still keeping the real Samus somewhere to get more DNA or maybe she escaped in another ship, idk. I just thought that she might be a clone because the theme of cloning shows up alot in that game (Kraid, Quiet Robe, X Parasites)

Switching the hero/villain roles - Mother Brain knows about the X and wants to use the Metroids to stop them spreading but Samus is hired by the Galactic Federation to take out the Mother Brain and the Metroids before they discover the X. Idk where the pirates fit in, but I like the idea of Mother Brain being good.

Adam being Sylux is completely impossible. _Metroid Prime: Hunters,_ the game which introduces Sylux, takes place years before _Metroid: Other M,_ the game that saw Adam's death, in the Metroid Timeline.

It’s been theorized that Ian Malkovich is Sylux. Like all we know about Sylux is that he has a hatred of the Galactic Federation and by extension Samus. He stole the Delano 7 and the Shock Coil from them, as well as his power suit. And Ian Malkovich used to work for the Galactic Federation, but he was killed in a flashback in Other M. Though we don’t see Ian’s body, so he could’ve survived.

Something I really want to see is a combination of Dreads Metroid suit and the Phazon corruption from prime 3. Imagine a creature as powerful as samus from dreads ending, with the power that can come from the phazon mutations, possibly turning her into what I like to call "Prime samus" (from the combination of a metroid with phazon creating the metroid prime)

About the orgin of the X, its explained that the metroids were the core predator to the X, so thats why they werent taking over SR388 during the events of Samus returns.

Going over through this: 1. Too soon to tell. 2. Possibly another member of the species, or a clone created by Raven Beak. 3. Possible. We don't know. 4. Almost certain. X are an wildly invasive gelatinous parasitic species, after all. And that would definitely help them infect more people. 5. Pretty much a certainty. Can't really count this as a theory. 6. Don't know about that. 7. Hoo boy. Time for hole-poking. First of all, popular? This is the first I'm hearing about this. Secondly, after we see Samus as a baby, it immediately cuts to her last battle against Mother Brain in Super Metroid. The part where Samus is in a lab happens well afterwards, and it's only to treat her injuries. Also, cloning her doesn't fit the Federarion's MO. Plus, Samus was cured of her X infection, which happened after Other M, by use of Metroid DNA. Also, Adam was alive until the end of Other M, and dead by the time Fusion happens. It's outright impossible for Samus to have a clone with Metroid DNA in it during the events of Other M. And it's RAVEN BEAK, not the Federation, who ends up wanting to clone Samus. Also, Melissa Bergman is a robot, not a clone, and is pretty much the resurrected Mother Brain. And who thinks that Sylux is a Samus clone? Practically nobody, last I checked. 8. This is pretty much fact. 9. Who knows? 10. This just reeks of not doing the research. The Metroids were created as a way to fight the X with, not the other way around. And while the X's appearance was sudden, their lack of presence on SR388 is all due to the fact that the Chozo were able to eliminate as much of the X as they could with the help of the Metroids. (Why the Chozo didn't go for complete eradication, I don't know. But the fact that one X infected a Mawkin Chozo is definitely a factor in why.) It is, however, possible that they were in fact unearthed by the mining of Aeon. But that begs the question of how they were sealed beneath SR388's surface to begin with. 11. They kinda are alive. 12. This kinda ignores the fact that Power Suits have in use for a long time, given the fact that the technology exists in the first place. 13. How is this relevant to lore? 14. It's possible that the Metroid universe could be connected to other Nintendo universes. After all, Earth is literally the headquarters of the Galactic Federation in Metroid. Furthermore, K-2L was an Earth colony operated by, you guessed it, the Galactic Federation. Who's to say that they don't have any F-Zero races in Metroid? I'm pretty sure that the Lylat System exists in Metroid as well, but we just don't see it. Also, Space Pirates aren't a Metroid-only thing. And we have seen Samus pop up in a Kirby game before. 15. Not much of a theory. 16. No comment. 17. It was just Samus's mother that was eaten by Ridley, and after she had protected Samus from being killed herself. Samus's father, on the other hand, blew himself up, and took a bunch of Space Pirates with him. 18. This is relevant to the series lore, how? 19. Not much of a theory. Just a reasonable calculation. 20. No. There's no evidence for it. Samus was being metaphorical when she said that "one life ended, another life began".

All of these theories have no truth to them. Like the Galactic Federation cloning Samus is not true, as they only cloned Metroids and Ridley. The X absorbing memories could be true, but that theory won’t be answered in Metroid Prime 4 Beyond, as the Metroid Prime games take place before the first Metroid, and the X Parasites appeared in Fusion, where they were eradicated after the BSL crashed into SR388, and again in Dread on ZDR where they were, again, eradicated. And speaking of Dread, it is implied that the Kraid we know is still on Zebes, so the Kraid on ZDR is part of the same species but isn’t the same character. Like how were the Mawkin able to get Kraid from Zebes to ZDR because he is really tall, and possibly really heavy, like if he was transported on a ship, it would just crash under his weight. And the worst part is that they put Sylux in the thumbnail, but put a theory about who WEAVER is. Like Weaver isn’t going to be the main antagonist of Metroid Prime 4 Beyond, that is Sylux.

@krvgames9258 Okay, small issue with that statement. The original Metroid (and by extension, Zero Mission) is the first time in-game Samus ever lands on Zebes. In the first Metroid Prime, logs on the Frigate Orpheon suggest that Zebes was attacked, which if the first game was *_after_* the Prime series, such logs would be a continuity error. The Prime games are after the original Metroid, with Metroid Prime taking place two years after Samus' Zero Mission.

Not done with the video, but I've got a theory I was wondering what you'd think of; In Other M, the Gravity Suit's only visual effect on Samus is purple lights. What if this explains why the Gravity Suit is never present at the start of different games, only the Varia Suit at most? My idea is that the Varia Suit absorbs its upgraded counterparts into itself, reverting the appearance in the process, and that purple light is a remnant of the Gravity Suit.

i am still a newcomer to Metroid Games. the first one i played and finished was Metroid Dread and i think it was amazing. i was happy that Metroid Prime got released for Switch and i was even more happy that Metroid 1-2, Super, Fusion and Zero Mission were in the Nintendo Online thing. i am ready to dive into the series at some point. and i hope Prime 2-3 ,Other M and the Remake of Return of Samus(3DS) will be released on Switch someday.

I'll go with the theory that Sylux is a failed attempt to duplicate Samus. We know there's a faction within the Federation that has their own agenda and is willing to do some pretty evil stuff, including making bioweapons. We already know of at least 2 attempts to clone Metroids to use as Bioweapons (Other M & Fusion). This faction was probably pretty bummed to lose easy access and command over Samus & her Chozo tech when she left the Federation. They would attempted to reverse engineer her tech and would need someone specially trained to use it. Samus herself is infused with Chozo DNA and has a pretty traumatic background. So imagine the genetic experimentation and psychological conditioning that someone would be put through in an attempt to make another warrior like Samus. Sylux's weapon is the Shock Coil; a stolen prototype illegal Federation weapon. Why was the Federation making a weapon they themselves deemed illegal? We've seen that behavior before with them making bioweapons. We know the Federation knows a lot about Samus's tech. They would have learned a lot about it while she was enlisted and we've seen they still know enough about it to quickly and remotely create and transmit new weapons like the ice missiles to Samus. Sylux's stolen prototype Federation power suit is very similar to Chozo tech. Sylux and Samus are the only hunters we've seen who turn into an energy ball in a metal case in their alternative forms (Lockjaw and Morph Ball). There's also a pirate log in Prime 1 that explains the pirates failed attempt to duplicate the morph ball, and their decision to make no further attempts. It's unlikely the Federation would have been able to create this tech without studying Samus's suit. It would also make sense that Sylux would be an attempt to create a warrior with skills and abilities like Samus as it fits with the franchises pattern of making rival characters knockoffs of Samus: SA-X was an X possesing Samus's power armour, and Dark Samus was Phazon possesing Samus's Phazon suit. So Sylux is a guy wearing the Federations attempt to reverse engineer Samus's suit.

I think Sylux defeated dark samus when she was murdering the Space pirates and instead of killing her he used her and her phazon powers to brain wash the space pirates to move them in a more controlled manner. That’s why Dark samus was so coordinated with her assault at the beginning of the games (Prime 3) and how dark samus knew where to find the GFS AU 313. Sylux has been spying on Samus and the federation so it makes sense as to how he could have her Cords on how to execute everything

It would make sense too because it benefits both dark samus and Sylux. Dark samus likely didn’t kill samus or the other hunter when she knocked them out because Sylux told her not to so she could brain wash them and use them to destroy the federation.

Sylux likely didn’t get involved or anything because it would’ve been to risky. He was already under surveillance by the federation and he knew how reckless dark samus could’ve been. So he stayed in the shadows in case things didn’t go as planned, even if dark samus failed everyone still would’ve been weaken which give Syulx a perfect chance to raid and do whatever he has planned a lot smoother. Which is why he appears in Prime 4

These theories suck. One of your theories should have been. About how the Chozo were very much like Rome. Where Rome was once a conquering nation that later fell apart when they focused more on democracy. As both were power hungry, praied to the God War, and then other gifts to keep the peace. Second theory Samus absorb 10 SA-X on the BSL. As the SA-X would split off her various abilities at different times which is how we got most of our powers back in Fusion. Third Ethan Malkovich is Sylux as he would have a deep hatred for Samus and the Federation. As he would be scared and hurt from the explosion of the Space Hyper Drive. And would have access to classified documents as he would have used his brother’s password. Plus any hacking or other military training to over power the Federation which is what we say he do in his intro. Literally falling on top of a group of GF soldiers. Fourth Mother Brain was reincarnated of Virginia Aran. Fifth all Ridley are clones and clones that were repaired while the body was being regenerated.

2:07 in the Metroid Manga you see a bunch of space pirate bones. You can tell they are space pirates as Ridley’s skeleton is there, but we don’t see Kraid. My theory is that when the hyper beam didn’t work against him since his hide is so thick. Raven beak took him back to ZDR where he is placed in captivity. 2:49 The X didn’t escaped the planet. As they would have most likely taken all ships and left the planet. And I am sure Raven Beak would have fired down from any ships trying to escape. But only time will tell if this remains true. 6:20 And that it has been 1 year between Super and Other M lore wise. As they were not only healing hear after getting hurt from fighting Mother Brain. But wanted the alien blood containing the DNA of various Aliens to see if they can be turned into Bioweapons.MB was the creation of Mother Brain and it took the form of her Mother. 6:45 *NO NO NO NO* Sylux is Ethan Malkovich as he was the one in the Space hyperdrive that exploded. He escaped and is probably scared as he would have a want to go against those he called once friends. And would know all of the classified as his brother was the top commander. 9:33 Yeah they are alive as they are like Golems. Just like in Minecraft they were crafted to protect treasure and to eliminate threats that would damage Chozo property. Gonna be honest, i kind of wish metroid had some mechanics from devil may cry, like samus can use hand to hand skills and such Like she can in smash bros, that would be neat and allow you to switch between first person and third person. It would give metroid a more unique style and also honestly would save it, cause honestly the first person and side scrolling shooter mechanics are starting to get repetetive

Have you played other M? Sounds just like what Metroid: Other M tried to do, you can switch between 1st and 3rd person (although the 1st person was just static) and since team ninja developed it, it introduces melee attacks which can only be executed when an enemy's health is reduced but it didn't help the series

Metroid wasn't my favourite Nintendo's video game franchise when I was a kid and I've never played Metroid games because didin't had any in my childhood, but when I was a teenager and got Super Nintendo Classic Mini I tried Super Metroid on it and that was my first step to get LOVE Metroid games! Metroid games what are the best and I've played are Super Metroid and defienitily Metroid Prime Remastered the best Nintendo Switch Remaster and one of the best Nintendo Switch games of all time! And about of Metroid games that I haven't played, but i'm really interested, I want to play and are the best are Metroid Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion (2002), Metroid Fusion (2004) Nintendo Game Boy Advance, Metroid Prime 1 (2002), Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (2004) Nintendo Gamecube and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (2007) Nintendo Wii and Metroid Dread (2021) Nintendo Switch, sadly I don't have any of these awesome Metroid games because don't have Nintendo Gamecube and I don't have Metroid Prime 3: Corruption on Nintendo Wii in my childhood, but gladly Nintendo Game Boy Advance is on NSO so I can play Zero Mission and Fusion on it and I have Metroid Prime Remastered on Nintendo Switch and if the Rumors about the upcoming Nintendo Gamecube for NSO are real I would LOVE to see Metroid Prime 1-3 defienitily 2-3 coming with that! When Metroid Dread was relased I wasn't interested anything about that because it looks too hard game even as to be a "D Metroidvania with Horror like elements, but after almost 3 years of it i'm more interested because there's one of the most BIGGEST Metroid Theories of all time: Raven Beak might be Samus Aran's father! And about of surprisilly AMAZING looking in the june 18 Nintendo Direct showed game MEtroid Prime 4: Beyond (2025) what I want to believe is coming for Nintendo Switch's follower too and about of that showed Blue guy with two Metroids who's that? 🌌

The Blue Guy is Sylux, who is an antagonist in Metroid Prime Hunters on the DS, his ship the Delano 7 appeared in the 100% ending of Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, and the secret ending of Metroid Prime Federation Force showed his point of view as he stole a Metroid from the Galactic Federation. He is going to be a very important character in Metroid Prime 4 Beyond.

All of these theories I think are bullcrap. For one, the Galactic Federation cloning Samus isn’t even true. It was RAVEN BEAK that wanted to clone Samus to create an army of powerful Human/Chozo/Metroid hybrids. The Galactic Federation only cloned Metroids in Fusion. The Kraid raised in captivity theory also has a big thing wrong with it as in Samus’ meeting with Quiet Robe in Dread, it is implied that the Kraid we know is still on Zebes. So the Kraid in Dread is from the same species as the Kraid on Zebes, but is not the same character. Also, a theory about Weaver but not about Sylux? Why is Weaver more important than Sylux? Weaver is not going to be the main antagonist of Metroid Prime 4 Beyond. Sylux is!

It does make sense that the reason Melissa Bergman aka Clone of Mother Brain, is also a clone to Samus. They mix her DNA with the DNA of the original Mother Brain, just to control the Metroids. So she could be like an evil twin to Samus, since this was after defeating Dark Samus & before S.A.X. It’s very much like in Tekken, when Mishima Zaibatsu created Steve Fox from Nina’s DNA with the DNA of a Boxer. Also the theory that Sylux being Ian would be something to see in Metroid Prime 4 Beyond.

@@LittleAl016 yeah sorry, that came off wrong. My guess is that the Federation made the android based on Samus’s appearance, so that they could have someone to control the Clone Metroids. It’s been a while since I only watched cutscenes of Other M. Despite how people wished it never happened in the canon Timeline. The Manga did a better job explaining Samus’s backstory, how she was orphaned, how the Chazos raised her as one of their own, how she first got her Power Suit, how she joined the Federation, how she left to be a Bounty Hunter, & how Mother Brain betrayed her creators to side with Ridley & the Space Pirates.

Everything in Prime just felt to coordinated and well planned out for it to have only been dark samus the whole time. And how would she even know about the AUs or about where to find a training vessel to raid and steal unless Syulx showed her…🤔

@@itsnicky5 actually Metroid Dread answers your question, Sylux doesn't show it to Dark Samus it's Quiet Robe that shows it to her. REMEMBER, the Thoha are the ONLY ones who can make natural living Metroids and can control it. I believe, Quiet Robe was forced to give the order to exterminate every last traces of the Thoha, since the G.F. are related to Samus AND the Thoha they become her enemy instantly. She could have hit Zebes but we all know it's already invaded by the space pirates who are alliances with Raven Beak due to same ideology and SR388 is already dominated by the Metroids so you know. I believe that Sylux was stalking her down to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't do anything funny, it's also why I believe Proteus Ridley attacks as well.
