Did you end up having any issues at all?

The expansion tank had leaks so I ended up just setting it up like an overflow tank instead. The standard pressure cap was put on the radiator.

@@CafeRacerLab ah okay. So does an overflow have to be lower or higher than rad, or does positioning not really matter? I’m thinking about installing one on a classic mini

I think it should work regardless of the height difference as the fluid moves by pressure differences. The expansion tank should have a tube like a straw that reaches the bottom.
