Thanks for the review. I ordered one and it should be here in a couple days. Glad to hear that the ST version doesn't have much wiggle in the frame. Is there a bike stand that is more affordable that you would recommend to a casual user?

Sure, are you referring to the stand in the mechanics take? If so, yes there are some more affordable options, just make sure its able to sustain the heft of a fat tire ebike.

looking for a good off road mountain electric bike for around 2000? so many to choose from...Help

Probably depends on the riding you will do, will it be general dirt and gravel roads around camp? This Obsidian is perfect for that, or, will it be true MTB single-track? Then go for something more eMTB rated like the Velotric Summit 1 and/or the Aventon Ramblas. You've certainly got options with deals right now! -Mike

I'm surprised you don't use a Garmin or Wahoo for anything speed related. The speedometers on Hub motor bikes are almost never correct past 20mph or so.

I use a Garmin Edge on my personal bike, this was just showing the bikes built in speedometer and display. This one seemed good to me. -Mike

Did he say that they went with a 26-in wheel with a 4-in tire? So you don't need a 26-in tire? This is a dude who's probably never even changed his own flat tire before

Well, if the 4" tire is mounted on a 26" wheel......that implies the tire is 26x4 inches. Thanks for watching! I'll be practicing my tire changes. -Mike
